Guys, I think we should order our stickers through Myntra.com or Pringoo.com once the design/logo is finalised. I don't see the bumper sticker option in both the sites, but am sure they'll do it if we order atleast a 100 stickers. That'll save us the trouble of printing, collecting money from individual users and mailing it to them.

Are we allowed to use the "colors" ? or is it just restricted to the Ashoka Chakra or the Lions ?

@Sharief: I'd say its pretty safe to use the colours. The govt can put a restriction on specific symbols or pictures, but not on colours.

I'm fairly sure of this. But like all things, especially with us, if the govt wants to give us a hard time. They can.

Else we can walk thru an airport with an air-rifle! Cant we?

The national colours are all right... even a certain political party uses the same colour scheme on it's party flags... ;)

Cheers!

@Mack The Knife: Sorry bout the delay. I had trouble uploading..

Is this what you had in mind?

Image

The colors look a li'l washed out cause I had to downsample before uploading. The original colors are exactly the ones in your drawing.

What changes would you like?

Mo,

That looks great! :) Could you do one sample with the same set of crossed rifles, but with the following changes:

1) In stead of using a grey silver border, could you make it black?

2) Don't give the outer circle a blue background, let it be white/ transparent.

3) Let the inner background be white/ transparent as well and in stead use the IAF roundel smack in the middle overlaid on where the two rifles cross each other. A sort of bullseye which also has the national colours. The IAF roundel is at - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... oundel.svg

4) Can the rifles be made a little larger so that they finish just within the inner circle (at both muzzle and buttstock ends)?

5) Lastly - can we use a little more serious and readable font like for instance verdana?

Once again fantastic stuff! I think we are almost there! :)

Cheers!

Hey Mo,
Just love it. But with the changes Abhijeet has suggested it would look a class apart.

Happy. :D

@mundaire: Copy that! Will post with the changes made, tonight.

@art_collector: There's no problem in having several designs bro. But there should be one that conveys an identity. Once we finalise on that, we can have several different ones for bumpers, doors etc..

@Happy: Working on it mate. Thanks for the enthusiasm! Lets hope we get one out soon!

Thanks a lot, Mo.

You missed out the pseudo Ashoka Chakra though.

I would also reduce the overall size to 75% of the existing pic.

I am not sure of the blue border now. Perhaps white as suggested but definitely not transparent as the black lettering would get hidden if the sticker was placed on a black painted car or heavily tinted glass.

Please don't go by the colours in my drawing. The colours should match those on our national flag.

Perhaps we should do away with the silver borders altogether.

Thanks once again.

P.S.: There is another possibility but I would only want you to work on that later, if needed. Namely, a laurel wreath where the current URL exists and shift the URL to the top.

Hi Mack The Knife!!

You're Welcome mate!

I'm guessing you didnt get the mail!! he he.. i'm sorta getting used to the browser eating up my mails! its like a personal censor board. lol.

Back to topic, i completely forgot the Ashoka Chakra! oops. will get that up. Lemme bring out some more samples with all the inputs. Dont worry about the size though. The originals have to be huge to get any decent prints. Have you noticed why some logos look crappily done while others look crisp? Resolution is the secret! So any size is cool. We givet the printers the huge originals and tell them the size. That way when they scale it, the image retains its sharpness..

Gimme a day or two. The beginning of the week is always the worst at work! I'll get some more drafts ready.

Lemme know about the other work. Always glad to help.

Hi Guys!

Sorry about the late reply! This week's kinda laying it down thick on me!!

@mundaire: For some reason the svg plugin is not working on my PS. I downloaded the new version and that doesnt work too. Funny since Adobe came out with the whole scalable vector idea in the first place!

Here are two more drafts:
