How is this AR rated.

Just read the ad. If you are willing to use a relatively more bulky air-rifle, then this will do.

If you have plans of mounting a scope then you will HAVE TO buy a proper airgun rated scope for this one as it is a scope killer. Failing which, use the open sights as they are fairly decent.

I would not pay more than 35k, unless the seller has the deluxe version on sale.

If the seller is from Delhi, I suggest you try it before you buy it. If he is from Bangalore, I can check it out for you, provided he brings it to my place.

Thanks Rusty ,am not much of a AR freak, would much rather put in a few more grand and go for something

with a lil more zing may be a IOF 315 or the much awaited 30 06 or better pay less and get a .22 LR.

PS am thinking along those lines  just got to get down to it :)

There's many a time when something with a lot less 'zing' makes a lot of sense - try plinking in your garden with a rimfire...

What is Deluxe version of Diana / RWS 54, does it come with better wood stock or recoil pads or chrome barrel etc. ?

One bit of news from DIana is that they have introduced carbine modlels for most of their current production range. Will post all this when there's time to breath after the Great Escape Desert event on Nov 23, we are venturing into the desert with 750 4x4 vehicles, a tremendous effort in logistics, administration and management.

Shahid,

I thought Diana had a deluxe/luxus variant of the 54 but it's not shown on their website. Either they have discontinued that particular variant or I was mistaken.

To answer your question have a look at the link showing the Diana 52 Luxus.

A lot of Diana models have appeared with synthetic stock as well now, including carbine models with synthetic stock. I have the model numbers and variants. Just got to sit one day and post it all in here.

I recently changed the Spring and washer for a Tommy which is around 25 years old the grooves were pretty decent and the finishing of the weapon also was good - also the trigger had an adjustment on its rear to adjust the pull. I was told that it came from USA not sure if this is true

Hiya!

A Tommy underlever is available for 5k or 5.5k at Aim Point in bangalore..

Forgot the name of the location. I'm sure the bangalore guys would know the place. Its where most of the other armouries are..

The quality looks pretty good. But the design is a bit gaudy for my likes. Plus I'm not a big fan of underlevers. One stuck pellet and the nightmare begins!!

Mack The Knife,

The 54 did come in a deluxe version. I picked one up way back in the US in 2000 but not the Diana 54 but the RWS 54. It was called the Air King Deluxe. Not sure about what's happening now.

Rusty - the Tommy you had did it have a screw in type rear end (behind the trigger) to lock in the whole unit.

Mack The Knife,
Just went through my file and found a 1994 Airking Mod 54 brochure-they only mention one model-seems like a deluxe model?
