You want more gun control? Use both hands!

new update. broke the 40/50 mark for the first time with my browning.
but the targets were easy or maybe i had practiced them too well.
however my score was the highest amongst 7 of us.
i guess its time to move to driven and tower.

hi guys it has been almost a year since i began shooting and was hoping to get some game shooting this year.
as you are aware, i have 2 sporters.
Will there be a problem using them to shoot game? (im no expert shot .....yet)
Grumpy mentioned that a game gun makes a reasonable sporter. so is it ok to assume that a sporter makes a reasonable game gun?

thanks grumpy. if this is so, then why do you feel a game gun is best overall followed by a sporter?
Shouldnt they be equally versatile?

Re: Shotgun buying advice for a newbie (in the UK)
?
Que ?
A game gun makes a better game gun than a sporter ( sporting clays gun ) does because it`s dedicated to the role. Likewise a sporting clays gun makes a better sporting clays gun than a game gun does because IT is dedicated to its role........and a Trap gun is better for Trap.........a Skeet gun for Skeet, etc.
Seems perfectly obvious and reasonable to me.
Ah, right......I see what you mean.......I think.
A game guns versatilty is due to it having to deal with the widest possible range of variables. It has to be fast handling and point very easily/naturally. The fewer the variables the less versatile a gun is - therefore a Trap gun is the least versatile style of gun.

u think right. thats what i meant.
but his answer has given rise o anoher query.
just by having a prince of wales grip/sock and narrower rib makes it most versatile or are there any other features?
regards
