Sneak Preview - National Compressed Air Rifle/Pistol
Hi all.
Here is a sneak preview into the IHP manufactured Compressed Air Rifle and Pistol.
The pistol did not have any major changes, but the trigger movement showd a little improvement. Everything else including the grip 'pinch' remains.
The rilfle is remarkable in terms of having to design and manufacture this with only existing (age-old) machinery; the balance seemed pretty good, a little heavier then the Feinwerkbau Alu stock, but the overall feeling seemed good. This is also available with Open Sights. (What I have posted is the Peep-sight version). The adjustments that can be made, which are not yet finalized, seemed just adequate for a shooter. No 'several' screws and adjustments - just 'simply' nice!
As of now, there is only one working prototype, which was exhibited in the N.S.C.C. at Ahmedabad. Production should start soon (in a month's time) and the exected price is about 20K plus Tax, Vat, whatever. Still sounds pretty reasonable.
Thanks to Dr. Shirsat, Indians now have a really 'affordable' and supposedly acccurate-enough weapon to begin Target shooting with. No more import/beg-officials/plead-dad/bribe-customs required. Your all-new Peep-Sight, all-metal (with a little bit of good wood) Sports Air Rifle is here.
I wish IHP and Doc all the very best in making more of such designs and keep improving!
ALERT - I got this when I tried to post a pic - "Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments is reached. Please contact the Board Administrator if you have questions."
No idea what this means. But will soon post the pic after I have resolved the problem.

Yes, it is.dev";p="34425 wrote: Is the pistol also compressed air? Great news if it gets ready fast.
And for the rifle, the Compressed Air cylinder is not detachable, but comes with a pipe and valve to fill in air from any cylinder.

Does Dr. Shirsat concentrate on air arms alone?Had something in mind but do not know who would be able to help.

Its a Production Model, mind you. The 'look and feel' aspect may be added on later. However, it about 132.65 times better than the Indian pneumatic, which was the older option.Mack The Knife Bana";p="34444 wrote:It looks like poo but its a start.
No, he is not into Air weapons alone. He is constantly working on all types of guns in his workshop. But as a consultant in IHP, all he can get to do is Air guns.penpusher";p="34439 wrote:Does Dr. Shirsat concentrate on air arms alone?Had something in mind but do not know who would be able to help.

Sometimes you guys just crack me up ! :
"It looks like poo but its a start."
That`s a nice way of saying that it looks like sh1t. I have to admit that the rifle isn`t exactly pretty.......clunky ole thing ain`t it ?
" it about 132.65 times better than the Indian pneumatic".
That`s remarkably precise. One wonders as to the nature of the parameters employed to achieve such an exactitude. I take it that the `Indian peumatic` was REALLY poo ?

hi Grumpy
sorry mate, it may look like poo but its our poo and like it or not mate its all we have going for us here. What i am glad about is that we have Dr. Shirsat who is trying to do something to change the face of our homegrown poo . would u not agree that its a start and if it proves to be pukka, i might even persuade u to buy one. still as they say "don't judge the book by its cover"
lets wait and c what is the outcome, as for me , just looking at the pics, i am wetting my self.
