hi all
with due respect to seniors, according to me it is parabellum PO8(luger) chambering 9mm parabellum cartridge,developed by george luger in 1900 from an earlier design by hugo borchardt,this is a pistol famous throughout the world.while the grip panels fitted to the majority of these wartime models were moulded from a black plastic material but on the one in the pics are wooden(may be a later model).thanks

You`re wrong.

Show me ONE P08 with a grip safety.

The pistol was correctly identified as a Neckar Luger in .45ACP, built in 1999.
Very rare ( one of ten ) and very expensive.

The point of these `Identify this` type threads is to show members something interesting, rare or unusual to get them thinking. There`d be little point is showing an ordinary P08 because the whole world, his aunty (.....and their dog )knows what a P08 is.

Saahil, Seems like you haven't read the posts fully. What you say is right. But, this is not a World War-II Luger. Same design,almost, but a different calibre, a different company, a different era and most importantly a very different price tag. Hope, that clears that up.

In India a family friend had a Luger P08, thing I remember the most is its grip quite snug.

I'm a bit of a purist, so the ever so subtle difference in the trigger guard profile in the Nedbal piece makes me not crave it for it

For me, a Luger is a Luger...who ever makes it, irrespective of the metal or finish, needs to follow the lines of the original.... just one of my annoying traits.

That being said the Nedbal piece is certainly good and seeing the insane prices here in India, he'd probably make a fortune not making 10 but rather mass producing them for the Indian market (If imports were ever allowed)

CC, the frame of the Nedbal needs to be a little larger to accomodate the larger cartridge. The .45ACP pistols supplied for the US trials ( almost 100 years ago )weren`t exact clones of the P08 either.
I reckon the price of the Krieghoff is ridiculous when a good original can be bought for a fifth of that money - especially when it is only a 9mm.
