Re: Pistol
Ravinder:
I have given my thoughts on the Camstar pistol here:

Regarding the MSD pistol, there are many comments on the forum that you can refer to, and most folks who have handled the pistol seem to think that it is well-made.
I have not handled either pistol first hand.
Given that both pistols seem to be made to a similar design, and if this is so, the choice would boil down to the 45 Auto cartridge in the MSD vs the 7.62x25 cartridge in the Camstar.
I think that the use of hollow point ammunition in 7.62x25 (the Camstar) would be mandatory. I am aware of hollow point ammunition for this caliber being made by PPU/Prvi Partizan and also by the Wolf brand. I cannot tell you whether either of thiese hollow point bullets will work as hollow points should, or how effectively they might expand in various circumstances.
You may want to check on availability and price and compare it with the availability and price of 45 Auto.
I think that you should also use hollow point ammunition for 45 Automatic, as well. Not everyone feels the same way. I give my views on this in this thread:

The hollow point bullets made by the manufacturers I've cited in that post have been tested to be effective. There may be others, as well. You would want to check the availability and price of ammunition, as with 7.62x25, to see what you might be getting into.
As far as power, both of these cartridges are of similar power. Personally (I own and shoot guns chambered in both cartridges) I might give a slight nod to the 45 Automatic, because it is a favorite of mine. But assuming that the 7.62x25 hollow points do work as intended, I think that for self defense, either would be more than adequate, if the shooter does his job well.
