Knife maker Hyderabad

Post by BK_ » Sat Dec 28, 2024 3:55 pm

Hello,
I'm new here.
I'd like info on knife or kydex sheath makers in Hyderabad.

There's just one person I know of who is into the craft, Saaduddin.
But he's too busy with other stuff.

Can someone help me, please?

Yup. Ive seen his work and he does a lot of forging. Some of his Askari,Shikari blades are very good quality.
See if you can find someone doing stock removal, which is not as time intensive. Simpler steels like 1075 or 1084 can be easily done in a day.

Do you know of anyone who makes sheaths?

Nope, I dont.
But having made a few kydex sheaths, if you are a bit handy with simple tools, all you need is a cheap toaster oven which will do 150*C , a kydex press can easily be made from yoga/gym mat type high compression rubber mats, 2 pieces of wood-and a vice or 2-3 Irwin Clamps. And a 8-8 (6.35mm ) eyelet kit from Aliexpress or Amazon. I saw the videos on youtube, and made a sheath which came out perfect. So made a few more.
All for fixed blades.

Why dont you ask in the swissarmyknife page on FB? Its India oriented, run by shaji khawja and there are many talented DIY people there with lots of SAK knowledge
