Custom clearance

Post by akc » Thu Dec 12, 2024 3:43 am

I have ordered two Karambits from Karambit.com
https://karambit.com/products/cold-stee ... r-karambit
https://karambit.com/products/shop-kara ... g-karambit
They are being shipped through USPS priority mail, the company doesn't cover customs payments but I have read in the forum it depends on weight and I hope it stays around ₹500 at most, my main concern is I live in Northeast, we have customs office here or atleast it shows up on gmap, both my blades are way less than 9 inches 2 and 4 ish so they shouldn't be treated as illegal, but the knives are pretty EDC type and not general purpose could that effect custom clearance, is there any possibility the employees could deliberately damage the edge because I read such stuff on the forum, I mean I am just confused, I had once gotten a stilleto via Etsy but I believe they have a different mechanism of delivery. Any information that can soothe my nerves or atleast allow me to cancel the order because (it is still in CA) before it's too late or becomes more complicated would be greatly appreciated.
