Best upcoming models for .32 bore pistol

The ranges of these various 32 Automatic pistols will be about the same, as they all use the same cartridge.

There will be some variance due to barrel length, which in these cases is about 100 mm.

There will be some variance due to manufacturing tolerances: for instance, some manufacturers may use a slightly larger diameter barrel or not. This would affect velocity a little, but there is also variance between two pistols coming off of the same assembly line, one after the other.

Any of these differences could cause a slight difference in range, but this would never be enough for you to notice. As a rough guess, a 32 automatic bullet could be expected to travel a mile under ideal circumstances, and the difference in range between these pistols would vary by inches or maybe a foot or two. In other words, not enough for you to worry about.

What is more important is effective range, or how far the bullet can travel and still be expected to reliably accomplish its purpose. Beyond 20 to 25 meters, you would find all of these pistols shooting the same cartridge to start getting unreliable as a self defense weapon. Some would say even less than that, and there might be a basis for that viewpoint.

You aren't going to be able to hit the top of Mt Everest with any of them.

If you are comparing the range of pistols chambered in 32 Automatic to pistols chambered in 7.62x25, the 7.62 pistol will be much more effective, and maybe will have a range of perhaps 50 meters.

The trouble is, with a handgun of any caliber, when you shoot at something beyond about 20 to 25 meters, even if the cartridge is effective at a longer range, you probably won't be able to hit very much that far away. Try shooting a handgun of any sort at the 50 meter range and see for yourself -- it doesn't work like on the movies!

Any way, I was/am a doctor, and it is very difficult for me to rack a pistol, I tried the taurus, the slide is too hard for me, I will go for a revolver, the Werywin.32 one, waiting for the price to come down to 1.5.

Completely agree with your views Timmy,
and I am eagerly waiting for the JD Taurus 73 Revolver in .32 which should be launched by this year end. This would be the first stainless steel revolver made in India.

15 meters is still 45 feet and believe me that’s quite a distance to save yourself, in case required. But as advised practice and practice and you’ll find it enough.
I hope you never have to use your weapon though…

In some videos I have seen webley fox firing, and Taurus firing, grouping in 15 MTR range is so bad . I felt very bad .

Grouping of fired bullets is always a personal thing and depends largely on how much you practice. It has very little to do with the weapon initially. Ofcourse there are those weapons that are specially manufactured for accuracy ,but that's a different story completely.

My experience, especially recent experience, says otherwise. For instance, shooting my Wife's Ruger Mark 4 has shown that, even with a pistol most folks would believe to be a quality pistol, the rear sight is junk. Searching the internet, I find that I'm not the only one to have this problem, and when others have contacted Ruger for a fix, they have been sent a new rear sight that is the same as the one they have. My old (1979) Ruger Blackhawk also has an adjustable sight, and there's not a thing wrong with it, so it shows that quality is a variable manufacturing issue.

Also, ammunition can factor into this. This is especially true with 22 LR pistols and revolvers. Different brands of ammunition can be problematic, so if you have found something that shoots well, that's good, but otherwise it may behoove a shooter to try different brands to see if an improvement can be made.

Cheap ammunition can also be a problem. I've found that Russian ammunition (which is no longer available for other reasons), especially cheap 7.62x39 and 9mm, can show poor accuracy. This may be due to components, such as powder or primers, and it may be due to the steel cases that the Russians are fond of using. However, this isn't always the case, either. For instance, I have shoot 9mm Russian steel case ammo that does not have a reliable and uniform crimp. The metal doesn't seem to be able to retain a crimp on the bullet. On the other hand, The Barnaul steel case 204 grain 7.62x54r ammo is the most accurate ammo in that caliber that I've shot, including fancy S&B Match hollow point boat tail stuff. Go figure! The only way to know is to try it out.

But back to my Wife's Ruger, it was so frustrating to go out to the range with 4 or 5 different kinds of ammo on several occasions, only to find out that I could shoot 9mm, 45 Colt, 45 Auto, and 38 Special handguns much better than that Ruger. I finally narrowed the problem down to that rear sight, and will now have to save my pennies for a $100 Volquartsen sight. I am not happy, and am done with Ruger for this reason.

But my point to this sad tale is that you cannot ever learn good shooting with a gun that doesn't shoot well. It won't work. If you suspect a problem that you cannot solve, try getting someone else who you know to be a good shot to try your pistol, and if they have an issue, better head to the dealer rather than banging your head against the wall with something that will never work.

Even if the gun is OK, maybe you can't hold it correctly. I have pistols that are very difficult to shoot well because the ergonomics are terrible for me. Try learning different ways of controlling a gun like that, but if you can't deal with it, it won't do you any good to keep it. In my case, both pistols are only range toys that I paid small amounts for, so they are in the safe and to to the range for fun on occasion.

What ever the reason, if you can't shoot a gun and ammunition well, you are already behind the curve -- get something that you can shoot proficiently.
