Sir,
What's your opinion for self defence on 22 lr or 380, which is a better option?
Also consider the ammo cost so that we can practice shooting more often.

Will the rumored prices of Glocks upwards of 1.5 million rupees in second hand market would cool down with launch of these models in India?

It's about 5L and 3L for G21 and G44 respectively, it's still over priced which was not expected. Even considering Indian market conditions 1.5 to 2L would be more reasonable I think.

If you consider stopping power then .380 is better. Ammo cost wise .22 is better.
Manufacturing of .380 ammo could start in India in near future

More than hundred private companies have been given licenses to manufacture arms and ammunition in India for armed forces as well as civilians.
In Civilian category all sorts of Permissible calibers are allowed. For example Gretta gun works private ltd. has been given license for .22, .32 ACP, .380 ACP, 7.62x25, .357 Sig, .357 magnum, .45 ACP

Yes. I couldn't agree more.UDAYANJADHAV wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 10:35 amIt's about 5L and 3L for G21 and G44 respectively, it's still over priced which was not expected. Even considering Indian market conditions 1.5 to 2L would be more reasonable I think.
They're not supercar engines or MRI machines.. they're just pistols. The current prices are not justified, considering the material, labour and manufacturing costs that is required to build a pistol.
It should be a lakh or 1.5 lakhs at the most !!! And even that's too high, considering costs of manufacturing.
Eventually the hype AND the prices will go down I hope.
This is just nuts.
A polymer pistol at nearly 4 - 5 lakhs.

Glock India has been curbed from selling in India I hear, as they are "made in India" but not proof tested here - which is a legal requirement for any firearm made in India.
