1. Price will be 3.50 lacs AFAIK
2. Initially they wrote ‘republic’ spelling wrong. This can be seen in the second pic. Later they corrected it.
Hello Mr. Vineet,
Two of my followers called MSD and talked to the DIrector who said 3.5L is NOT the final price.
Final price will be around 5L including 28% GST on 3.5L base price and dealer fees.

First mover advantage. The prices in India are what they are because of lack of supply. Expect them to crash in a year or so. Also,1911 is not like some modern pistols. It does require fitting of parts by people who know what they are doing. I have my doubts Malhotra ji has such people.

Five lacs is a loot, no one will buy at this price. Also there are many companies coming in next couple of years, so they will get though competiton in the market.

Currently most new licenses are being issued in Punjab only and IOF factory’s civilian weapon manufacturing unit is running due to Punjab dealers only.
wonder why is that
Because there is craze for arms in Punjab and people (upper class/ well to do families) have only one demand from their ministers/ politicians that we want arms license.
Recently a Punjab MLA did press conference against SSP for not approving arms files, we don’t see this in other states.

Until licensing doe not open up, Domestic manufacturing will die out, even new companies will not be able to sustain
Shotgun Manufacturers may sustain, but margins will not be what they are today

Handgun is first preference of a licensee as it’s easy to carry. There is almost no sale of shotguns and if someone has to sell his Indian made shotgun then dealers don’t buy it for free.

No one will buy malhotra at such insane prices.
Just wait for some time, Nanda Arms Corp. launching their .30 Bore Pistol with 14 Rounds double stack magazine in April 2022 in just 2.5 L.

All they have to do is sell a few at that price and early retirement has arrived!

Maybe Malhotrasons are planning to platinum plate it
. Are they actually trying to come up with a self defense tool or something to be locked up in a bank locker for safe custody.
Reading such things make me love my IOF revolver more and more.

The quoted price is a steal considering they are also giving you 1000 fire and forget bullets, all you have to do is to take the name of the person you want to shoot and press the trigger rest would be taken care by the gun and the bullet.

Private companies have been allowed to manufacture handguns but no gain to common man yet.
