Google Translate did a pretty good job of translating it. Aim and shoot.

Hi Vineet,
What procedures did you follow to keep one weapon without the license.
I am going through different legalities to have my rifle as antique and will be able to keep without a license along with two licensed weapons.
Does anyone know which government department can give a certificate as a antique weapon after their testing procedures.
Is there any provision in the new law, that a person can have 2 license weapon and can keep third weapon if it is antique.
Thanks

Please see the thread viewtopic.php?f=47&t=27848&start=15
Further to that, as to procedure, you need to send in a written application via speedpost/ registered post or by hand at the "dak" counter (don't forget to get a recieving stamp on your office copy!) of your licensing authority.
As to drafting the actual application, that you'll need to do yourself or hire a lawyer to do the same if you feel you're not upto it.
There is no limit as to the number of curios an Indian citizen can own/ possess, as per law he/ she may neither hold any ammunition or carry or use the same! They are to be held in personal custody only as collectors pieces.
There is no government authority for testing or certification of curio, you will in your application need to provide proof that the firearm is older than 50 years and/ or falls within the other provisions of curio classification.
Cheers!
P.S. - request to all, not to send me PMs, please ask all questions on the open forum.

Re: Finally weapon allowed to be kept under Curio rule
Hi Abhijeet,
Thank you for telling in detail.
I have a license of my father for a rifle issued on 25/03/1960, now I have a license of this said rifle, so can this rifle can come in the category of Curio.
Whether my father license can be shown as a proof or any other proof is required.

Congratulations, this is very good news indeed! On the topic of Curios can weapons that are 50 years old be purchased without a license as well now? The arms rule does specify no license is required for acquisition as well. But, I am unclear on the process of purchasing one.
