If we collect 3000 intrested buyers, CMT may take civilian production on priority.

I feel we should get 3000 desirous persons with license to buy Glock, then we could request CMT for earlier civilian launch.

I have asked my friends and relatives to do it. But, that is only handful. CMT-Glock have to advertise, publicise and news should be out in major news papers televisions etc, their PR people are not doing the job. Some dealers are discouraging public and that is a problem. Please no offence nothing personal and not all dealers are doing it.

Re: A new baby born... Made in India Glock?
Is there any info from CMT on pricing? I am just too curious about it. Below 1.5 is too vague. A Gen4 Glock 41 goes for around INR60k in New Zealand. It gets imported there and they have 18% GST IIRC so with all that noise around MAKE IN INDIA it should sell at a competitive price here. I am sure there will be way more than 3k ppl to buy if they price it sensibly.

Well, I will also purchase G31 cal.357sig after its launch. Filled expression of interest form. I have also filled my friend’s form who was not aware of .357sig, .40 etc. & also the procedure. So I think a lot of arms licence holders are unaware of the NPB category. They think only .32 acp are NPB. Neither they know about Glock is coming in India. Instead they usually go to arms dealers who also don’t know about CMT. So CMT should have to advertise a lot in the whole country and in vernacular language newspapersasifalikhanasif wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 5:14 pmCount me inDrameenkitekar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:32 pmI feel we should get 3000 desirous persons with license to buy Glock, then we could request CMT for earlier civilian launch.

My size is Glock 21. Crystal clear. No confusion.
Some plus 4 magazines extension .
17 plus 1 of 45 is way to go.
James.

The built of average Indian men comparitivily smaller than those in Europe and America, so I think a large number of Indians may opt the Compact size, but in my case, I have pretty big hands to hold easily Standard size G31 .357 Sig.Drameenkitekar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:40 pmWhich Glock pistol size is ideal for average size Indians?

Size depends on your requirements.Drameenkitekar wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:40 pmWhich Glock pistol size is ideal for average size Indians?

If you want to carry EDC then go for compact size because too small a pistol (sub compact) is difficult to fire/handle. Too large a pistol (standard size) is difficult to carry. Therefore compact is the way to go.
If you don't carry EDC and want a pistol for home defence and occasional shooting then go for standard size.
If you are of smaller built or want a pistol for deep concealment carry then go for sub compact size. Remember any pistol is much better than no pistol when the need arise.

If you don't carry edc then standard size can be also considered.
