I agree with Vineet ji. I got mine from my local dealer. No issues and it was brand new. Do your research thoroughly. You should not pay more than 1.45 lacs.
Regards.

Yes sir, I am looking for a good deal in or near my district but things are getting a little sticky due to corona and lockdown. Any suggestions if I should get some modifications done? I want to participate in 300 meter prone and free, so is there anything I should add/modify to the rifle?sumbriavikramaditya wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:23 pmI agree with Vineet ji. Well the firearms scene in India is alive with rumors and hearsay these days. There was also news of Colt and Smith and Wesson coming to India which was briefly discussed here.UDAYANJADHAV wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 2:48 pmHello everyone, there is something interesting I want to share with you. I visited a local gun dealer searching for a good deal on IOF .30-06. I have previously known this dealer but never had any interaction with him. While enquiring, he told me that if I can wait then he can arrange imported big bore rifles "FIRST HAND". Yes, that's what I heard, first hand imported rifles. I asked him how, he said that it will be allowed by government in some time and within 6 months we can expect to see Savage and Winchester rifles, though they will cost a fortune. I still can't believe what he said. Does anybody else know about it? Or is it just a speculation? I want to believe him because why would he tell me to wait when he could have tried to sell his current stock? The man seems legit to me. Seniors please share your thoughts, kick me if it's just a dream so I wake up.
Are you a dealer too? If yes please share your address and working hours.
You could ask more dealers to concur what he said. Even so, the guy you're talking to might be the most well connected, so, may know more than others.UDAYANJADHAV wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 4:34 pmThat's the catch. When I started asking further questions he said you have ample time for purchasing your rifle, if you can wait then it's worth waiting because you can get a good IOF .3006 easily in 15 days but if you purchase it now and then want to buy imported one, you will be at loss.
