Re: A new baby born...
There is just one news item in Nai Dunia newspaper. Its dated 21 July 2019, so if someone can check Pragati Maidan for International Police Expo, it can be confirmed. But as it is Police Expo, sales to civilian customers is slim or non existent.

Re: A new baby born... Made in India Glock?
This has been doing the rounds since Sunday afternoon. Someone sent across the (attached) photo of a visiting card of someone from that company participating in the expo. They have even put up a pre-order form on the Internet - https://cmtpl.com/GlockPreOrder.html
However, I would advise caution here for the following reasons:-
A) This company is NOT amongst the list of licensed private arms manufacturers (see viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27180 ) so clearly they have not yet received a license to manufacture.
B) The pre-order form on the Internet is collecting a lot of sensitive personal information
C) No one seems to know anything about this company or it's promoters.
The best bet would be to contact Glock directly and find out if they have actually tied up with this company to produce their products in India or not.
If true, then it is a welcome step indeed, as we all know there is a dearth of decent products in India. If not, please don't part with your sensitive information to an unknown entity.
Cheers!

Manufacturing strategy seems in line, i had a discussion with someone in ofb regarding why does no private sector guy make 32 pistols, the reply was no one internationally is interested in 32 as it has no export potential ,so any collaborator to fullfill export obligation will either make 9 mm or 9 mm short....

I've checked there website : https://cmtpl.com/index.html
1) its an consulting firm kind of company
2) There is no information mentioned about the product they are taking preorders info\
3) this is the link to there company details with Ministry of corporate affairs : https://www.zaubacorp.com/company/COUNT ... 8PTC067298
In my opinion seems doubtful.

I am just wondering, to what end? To get information from as many prospective buyers as possible? They are asking very sensitive information from licence holders.

Now they are asking for dealers to register.
Do they have a licence to manufacture, proof test and final approval to sell in civil market?
Their website does not say much..

Re: A new baby born... Made in India Glock?
With respect to the recent developments , I called up Glock Sales office. Although they have confirmed that Glock US has a tie up with Counter Measures Tech(CMT). But whether the tie up is also for civilian arms in India has not been confirmed. There has been no confirmation from Glock regarding an official launch of the products. In such a case, it is advisable to wait for an official launch or confirmation from Glock or the Govt, before such licence details are shared with CMT by prospective buyers.

If it's for possible sales figures we should encourage each nd every license holder,so that they get the respone required for them selling arms to civilians here
