Hi,

Are members aware or have come across other private arm manufacturers other than sheikh arms? Since the civilian arms manufacturing license is open to private players there must be others who would have joined the fray by now. As for sheihk arms he doesn't seems to have any past reputation though he seems to be in this business.

seikh is into business for a long time although in manufacturing he is new comer he is an expert but there r others also but he is firsrt to get license .But real test when weapon is test fired and how his own amno works .Some private manufcturers amno worked so bad except for Shaktiman in 12 bore catergery even KF 12 bore in special causes barrell lock due to dirty powder. He is also manufacturing 12 bore amno and 12 bore guns although in this field famous mandi gun manufactuers r already doing nice job.Mandi gun is still very famous in Himachal and among army men as private weapon .

Hi,
I spoke to my dealer and he told me that the production is yet to start and booking to be online minus gun dealer. Also he cautioned not to pay any advance and opt only in case of payment against delivery.

Do members know others who have got licences & have or going to start arms production?

Their quality is very low and price is very high. IOF is better than these privately made handguns. As per my sources, Sheikh hired some private shotgun making guys from Jammu to make these pistols. Will post pics....

How difficult is it these days to reverse engineer a firearm? The fellow probably wants to make money with negligible investment.

Yes...how difficult is it these days to reverse engineer? My dealer cautioned me not to deal with this chap from nahan though not in many words. He will loose first mover advantage if he comes with shoddy products.
