Air gun confiscated in Bangalore airport
I ordered a 0.22 air pistol through India mart. The sender shipped it through DTDC from Delhi ( tracking no Z80444068). The air gun was sent on 8th of December. But did not had any further updates. So I contacted the DTDC customer care and they told me, your shipment hasn't passed the Bangalore Airport. I contacted the sender and he went to the DTDC office from where it was sent and they showed him the photos of the gun which was confiscated by the airport officials and also told him they are going to file a case against him for sending air rifles, they told him they were fined 25,000 rupees by airport. Is there any way to retrieve my gun from the airport? Will I be facing any issues from the Airport officials or from the police?

Re: Air gun confiscated in Bangalore airport
Since Central Government notification No. G.S.R 991 dated 13-7-1962 is still in force, they should not have confiscated the air pistol. Send them a legal notice for the same.
