As per my knowledge there is problem with megs of Ashani if you can get custom made megs or some gunsmith will make it for you use the spring of iof Meg that's pretty good
Real problem of jamming come from ammo and liniment of feeding of pops from ur Meg

I purchased my ashani last month. I fired a case of 20 cartridges in 3 intervals. No jamming of single ammo till date. can't say about future

I cannot comment on the cartridge but I would recommend the pistol over the revolver any day. With whatever limited experience which I have.

I have an ashani and advocate the liberal gun laws, especially when system has no control on illegal arms. But, recently, I got two shockers..... First: when I went to purchase ammo after a long time, the dealer asked me for empty shells. He had never asked for it in past. He told me that now he has to submit empty shells alongwith sell records to concerned authorities. Now I am wondering if I am not able to retrieve all the empty shells after practice then number of ammo in my possession will go on depleting! Second: Went for renewal of licence in February. Earlier, it was a matter of couple of days. I just had to produce NOC from local PS on the required form and the concerning office in the collectorate used to renew it. This time it took more than two months and that too after continuous personal pursue at various offices! They made my renewal application get cleared from tehsildar, local PS, CO, SPRA, SSP, and commander of shooting range of reserve police lines (I had to shot three rounds in his presence). No need to explain how you have to get your application forwarded from these sarkari offices. The whole process was way more torturing than even getting the new license itself. I get headache when I realize that I have to repeat this process after every three years :deadhorse: ! Is it same now in your districts also?

Finally shot the Black Ashani at the range. Mechanically it shot without any hiccups with both magazines. The one with tight springs and the one with the lighter tension one. I could not really group the shots well this time maybe in the next outing. But amazing that every bullet went bang and no cycling problems.

The second round dint fire , no matter how hard I pulled on the triger the triger dint move ! I have never seen such a thing happening before , is the triger very very hard ? Or am i doing something wrong ?

Check if you are compressing the grip safety fully. It won't fire till that is fully squeezed.

Love what you have done to the Pistol, Saharanabhishek. My obvious questions..what did it cost you ? and where did you get this done ? I specially love the walnut grips .
All the best

Thanks Chicky
It's a Bobby Sidhu creation and it cost me ₹65000
Walnut grips are custom made to fit this particular piece

Saharanabhishek,

Your pistol looks very well finished. 65,000 rupeeyahs, eh? Almost the price of a pistol from the factory?

Yes indeed
I m not sure bobbysidhu is best gunsmith in india but I'm damn sure he is most expensive
And another warning don't ask for a discount from him
He quoted me ₹ 60000 for work but he generated a bill of ₹65000 and I gave him ₹62000 he was not happy with that and gave me a detailed lecture for half an hour
So if you are thinking about Bobby you need deep pocket
But work done by him is really good
I fired hundred rounds after modification and there was no problem at all
