My source told me the new gun has been copied on the lines of two US made models. Possibly one is a Remington.

Why cant they just take a successful design and just copy it as it is? That is what the chinese do and have been selling them in the international market,including civilian market. The IOF chaps try to create a hybrid and fail.They even managed to mess up the AK copy by trying to increase the rate of fire from the standard model.

Sorry I missed this thread.
The Ishapore Rifle Factory has started producing the 12 bore pump action and I have been told by a source that the
product is superior (whatever that means by Indian standards ) than the old pump action which had feed problems.
The new product is also lighter. Initially RFI will sell only to banks, security agencies, govt. etc. Civilian sales will follow.
Price I am told is expected to be something between 60 and 70 k and it will be sold through dealers.

Things at all IOF plants move at snail's pace. Since the PAG is a new project I don't think it will be up for sale to civilians in anything less than one year at the least. This is just my guess from experience.

This particular item is presently being exclusively produced n marketed for the govt and few pvt security agencies...nothing for civvies in near future...but its good stuff...prev problems have been rectified...alumunium/alloy feeders & extractors have been replaced with more rugged steel components...being used in RR units in ci ops with good results...

IOF Pump Action Gun has a 4 shot magazine. How come the guy in the video loaded 5 cartridges into the magazine.

You are right GNV he seems to have loaded 5 rounds in the magazine and not 4 in the magazine +1 in the chamber as specified. Maybe it is not the IOF gun. The senior and experienced members could give their views.

Is the new pag available for civilians now ,if so where can we buy it apart from iof , also is a 12bore licence with dbbl/ sbbl endorsed on it valid for buying a pump action
