Modified IOF 30-06
My modified IOF 30-06. Original furniture removed and new fitting done. Recoil has substantially reduced. Fore sight and rear leaf sight removed. Vortex Diamond back scope on a low mount.

What wood is it? I really like the grain.. How much does it weigh now? Who was your gunsmith? Finally, how much did the new stock cost you?

Thanks. Couldn't afford a foreign rifle. Its come out really good. When matched up against my friends .308 Winchester, groups were about same at 100m . And this rifle is way better looking. Its done right here in Delhi. Its high grade walnut.. cost me about 25K. Gunsmith works at M/s Dalip Singh and Sons, an armoury in Paharganj

Nope. Its very much legal. However, its difficult to get ammo for it.

.308's are used a lot in the big bore. Ammo is tricky I guess.
But the NRAI may have some.

The weight is 3.5 kg without the scope and approx 4 kg with the scope
