Looking to buy a TM HK 417, request assistance/advice.

Hi, everyone. I'm new to this place, but I've been lurking for a while now. I might be planning to buy a Tokyo Marui HK 417 Electric Blowback rifle, but I would like some expert advice from the folks here before I decide to do anything about the plan at all.


First things first though, some basic data about the airsoft gun:

Here are my questions about the gun and purchase, if any:

• 1. I am NOT a member of the Karnataka State Rifle Association, or any Association. I am however, welcome to any suggestion by a member on how to become one, the costs, the exams (if any) etc. How will that affect me as someone eyeing a gun of that sort?
  
  2. What are your experiences with importing airsoft guns through any of the 2 sellers I mentioned, or through any others I may have missed?
  
  3. If I buy it AFTER I enter a Rifle Association, how will it affect my chances at purchasing it, because I read that the government has waived all import duties on airsofts imported by members.
  
  4. if I decide to buy it before becoming a member of the Association, how much trouble can I expect from the customs officials, and how much trouble can I expect if I go about it AFTER I become a member?

Airsoft IS NOT Airgun (Very twisted, leave it at that)
