Very nice, looks like you had a very successful season. What guns are you using? any pics of the gun? I think SxS is more popular for traditional hunts over there.

Hi herb
Thanks. Yes it was good but not as busy as some previous ones. Getting old I suppose.

Next season hopefully will be in full swing. Why don't you come down and shoot with me.

Yes sxs is popular but o/u is taking over. Most people now use o/u these days. Some like me use sxs for a couple of drives and ou for most of shooting.

What is never used in a formal driven shoot is a semi or pump.

There is a proverb that o/u will get you more birds but a sxs will get you more invitations. Hope that explains the situation.
Today 80% people even on a driven shoot use o/u.

Personally if I see a person using a sxs I go up to him and congratulate him on his choice and offer him my respects.

Most lords and aristocracy still have London best family guns. So of course that is a different story.

Was driving from Raleigh nc to sc. and then from sc to tx.

Fed the following on my satnav:

Gander mountain
Dicks sporting goods

So must have visited a few dozen stores in total on that road trip.

Navi dont lose heart.
Renewing a license and paying for it is a good thing. Be proud of it. Even non hunters should purchase hunting licenses.
Where in the US are you based? I will plan a trip near your area in 2018 (sorry, hunts booked till 2017) and we can hunt together.
Or come to the UK we will shoot till we drop.

Zaheer bhai. Thanks for your compliments.
However right now you are the big man. You just shot a leopard recently.
