Need help in importing / acquiring an Air Pistol..

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure this should be the right section to put it. I am looking forward to import an Air Pistol. So, I have a couple of queries.

1. How much Duty is charged on Air Pistols?

2. Do Pyramid Air, still ships to India. Yet, to mail them though. But, thought to ask the community first.

3. If someone brings it for me from abroad, is it hassle free?

The model I am looking for is the Baikal IZH-46M. In India it costs 50K atleast from Relishsports. Actual price in US is 35K max, so trying to save that 15K (Not sure about the duty though) So, if there's any way I can save any. Else have to go via RelishSports only.

Awaiting feedback from the community.

Note: If anyone selling an Izzy, let me know

1) According to the rules, no duty is charged from registered shooters be it an air rifle or an air pistol. But,it's the Customs. If you're willing to import it yourself,be ready with all prerequisites and the documents that they demand and be prepared to make multiple calls and trips to the customs office.

2) The last tie I checked it was around 2 month ago,and no,they're still not shipping to India. I dont know if they do now. If you want to import an Izzy contact Tim from mac1airguns. He sells upgraded Izzys with some tune ups done to them.

If you want your pistol to drop in your arms, close your eyes and order it from relishsports.

Update: Mac1AirGuns no longer sells Izzys, however they still do valve upgrades on them for $75 + Shipping.

Go over to the 'Buy,Sell,Trade' section of targettalk.org,and see if you can try your luck out there. Someone there might be willing to ship it to you.
