Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
Super Rajeev,Congratulations.
Take care on safety,it is in open area.
For best results and safety it may used in closed sheds, also avoiding the winds since Pudduchery is a coastal town.
If it is OK,Please share manufacturing details.
Thanks.

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
Thanx RamMani,
This system is designed by me but it is installed at a place where I have never been to. This gentleman privately train local children there.I understand that there is a 3mm thk perforated steel sheet atop the compound wall for the safety.Similar system is being installed at my farm house in coastal Maharashtra.Due to closed gearbox,it is safe for outdoor use. What manufacturing details would you require ?

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
thing is manual target pulley has been around for while for use in indoors and outdoors. however the cost is always high for ordinary chap with airguns[not for long as new law when passed there will be far few chaps with airguns] good to have one which is affordable and durable, so please make and sell at decent rate.

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
HaHa nagarifle .I have no idea.can you tell me the decent price? In this market where the standard Belt-Pulley systems are available from 4.5k to 6.5k,(which are strictly for indoor use)I am not sure whether this madness will be accepted or not

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
outdoors pulley system ? why not check out the frangi shooting scene and see that they already have em.
5 -7k range is good i think. but only the maker would be able to say after considering the cost of making etc.
but what the difference between outdoor and indoors?
only the roof, same device can also be used out doors under tin roof to give shelter from the elements. cost max 500/ extra

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
Thanks nagarifle,
I purposely used the word "outdoor" to highlight the gearbox. If you put little grease on the gears,it can work flawlessly for years.I have observed that the belts in the commercial belt/pulley system often tend to crack or break due to weathering.Exposed ball bearings in the plastic pullies get rusted or the plastic pullies warp due to heat etc. Anyway,I don't have any plans for commercial production right now unless someone comes with a request for 10-12 nos.
can you post some pics of YOUR Gun Bear?

Re: Geared Manual Target Pulley
hi Trajeev, i think you are sitting on mini gold mine as you have done your homework and you are right the climate here is a little harsh. yes one or two to produce will be expansive to make.
i wonder if 12 or more people in the forum could club to gather and order ? i think we should be the first ones to get it.
my gun bear is two legged creature with two arms and no tail. if you pay i will send pic as requested. very rare theses gun bears you know.lol
