Zastava 7.62x25
Any of you come across zastava .30 Serbian version of the tokarev tt 33 , its holds an extra round in the magazine compared to the other tokarev versions . A friend of mine sent some pictures of the above mentioned pistol, fell in love with with it.

Yeah this one is in India ... You don't come across this much that's why I wanted to know what everyone has to say about this . I am planning on buying this , also have an option of Walter pp , Astra constable and beretta .32 . I don't know why but I am in love with .30

Re: Zastava 7.62x25
Sorry, but it doesn't look to me like one that can hold an extra round. Maybe its just the Picture's angle or even the rubber slip on grip. I know for sure that some of the Yugoslavian tok's were designed with a slightly longer frame to hold a mag with a capacity of nine rounds( while the other Tok's were all 8 rounders).

A known brand would fetch a better price if ever one needs to sell it, imho.

In India I guess that's what we pay for, uniqueness of the weapon. Right ?. That way I guess the zastava is pretty unique I have seen so many Chinese .30 s few tokarevs even but this is the first time I have come across a zastava .30 that too in a good condition

Re: Zastava 7.62x25
why your need pistol in 7,62-25 caliber?
its not self defence caliber
If your are self defence Bullet strikes attacker to take off, fly another 50 meters ,fly to pierce the wall and kill somebody in the house
its military russian caliber created with one purpose to kill
It does not have the effect of stopping

Due to ban on import of weapons in India, we don't have much choice. We don't have access to modern pistols. Of whatever is available, TT-33 or Chinese type 54 is a very good gun if one can own it in India. Simply reliable, robust, powerful and sleek. Also 7.62x25 cartridges have been recently imported in India, both HP and FMJ, are easily available.
Here is a very good article on how TT pistol should be carried.
Complete article http://www.kegisland.com/tokarev-tt-33-tips.htmlIt should come as no surprise, then, that this gun is best carried with an empty chamber in a full flap military holster most of the time. In fact, it was really designed for carry with a lanyard attached -- which helped to reduce risk of accidental discharge associated with dropping. It could be fully loaded and the hammer placed at half-cock when trouble might be expected.
It's important to understand that Tokarev simply didn't design this weapon with the needs and habits of 21st century civilian American concealed carry permit holders in mind. As a consequence, the TT-33 is difficult to carry safely and effectively in the modern American fashion and really shouldn't be pressed into that role without necessity.
