Dear Main13 and GNV sir
Today, I got a mail from Aarmr sports. Company has quoted Rs. 8000 + free delivery. Alternatively company has suggested one model called muzzeled cork rifle at Rs. 8500. Specifications are same of both models, only difference is that muzzle cork rifle has capacity to increase the sound with the help of cork. As advised by you, It think better to wait for another one month. I have one 3-9x bushnell scope with me will it fit to this gun?
I am very much new in this area so more than 60% of discussion in this forum is like bouncers for me. Please bare with my childish questions.

Dear Vivek,

Forget those gimmicks like muzzle cork etc. The essence of air gunning is less noise for the given power. If your scope has a mount that fits 11 mm dovetail then it fits on the AARMR Hurricane Mod-15. Make sure that your scope is "Spring Piston Air Gun Rated".

Dear Babu Reddy,
Do you think they would listen to me?. (If you mean a "wooden stock" by "wooden but") If they offer their gun with a wooden sporting type stock, nobody or very few would buy this gun with the present assault rifle type stock. That is my personal opinion too.

There is a Chinese proverb that goes, "better ask a question & be a fool for 5 mins than not ask & remain a fool for the rest of your life!". Smart people judge others based on their real intentions & abilities, foolish people do so based on outer looks & specific actions.. Either way, foolish people don't usually count in the long run, so ask away unabashed!

About the gun model, decide whether you want an airgun or really heavy diwali pistol.. Latter can be had for 100 bucks max, why waste 8400?
Buy the other model if you want an airgun. Cork explosives etc might just damage the crown or something!

Whatever inspired them to get that assault rifle mould ,to say its ugly is a understatement ,unwieldy is another attribute .They will have to get a sporting stock to get around the taste of lot of air gunners .With such good specifications ,it would be a shame if they don't !

True. With a sporting type stock it would sell much better than with the present stock. And manufacturing time and cost of wooden stocks may be a little high but the extra cost would be justified.
Only now after mounting my scope on my ORION I realized the importance of a good stock design for long range accurate shooting. So far I was only plinking with my ORION because of my eye sight.

Jatin, GNV sir, MC Babu Reddy: You need to understand that assault rifles give Sardars a mojo... :D

I would just buy it & put it into a wooden stock! ;)

Main ,buying and then getting a stock designed and made is not everybody's cup of tea !Specially even if the stock gets made ,in all probability the inletting will be screwed up as its a delicate art rendering the stock useless .

With the current unbalanced design of the stock its near to impossible to shoot it offhand accurately .And nobody buys an airgun to shoot it on a bench rest !

The "Length of Pull" is an important feature in any rifle stock. If it's short or too long it can invariably affect the hold, the shooting position and comfort while shooting, not to mention getting good groups.
See pic below.....for the correct "Length of Pull".....

Brihaji,

I posted the length of pull comparison between Hurricane and ORION in page two of this thread.

IMG_c.JPG
Length of Pull is the distance between trigger blade and end of but plate. But I think the placement of pistol grip and PG shape and size also affect the center pull.

Brihaji,

The HURRICANE's assault rifle type stock is really a stupid thing. Yet many latest foreign air guns are sporting this kind of stock. I think Hurricane's stock was poorly designed by someone who understands nothing about stock design. The only way I could shoot this gun with any comfort and confidence is from a bench rest only. I know nothing about stock designing. When I shoot a gun all I know is whether it is comfortable to shoot in all positions or not.
