It is very true. Those who think that staying away from politics, the politics will stay away from them are mistaken. In the words of great Prussian strategist Carl von Clausewitz, warfare is an extension of “politics through other means". Let us understand the geo politics of South Asia to grasp the importance of RKBA in present dangerous and uncertain times. Three intractable and for ever hostile nuclear armed political powers China, Pakistan and India sharing common borders in South Asia. Since technology for conventional warfare is at its peak(assuring mutually assured destruction), future warfare in South Asia is bound to be asymmetrical warfare and proxy warfare. It can be conducted very cheaply. In asymmetrical warfare, the line between combatants and non combatants, State actors and non State actors or territorial boundaries practically do not exist. Using agent provocateurs, false flag operations, engineering riots or genocides and disinformation campaigns is also a part of asymmetric warfare. Therefore thinking that you are not involved in politics or are just a civilian or non combatant is not going to help. RKBA to protect yourself, your family, your home is all the more important. It is the civilians and non combatants that have to bear the brunt in any conflict. Being unarmed is not an option in such type of times.

Asymmetric warfare is an age old concept. Those who are not aware of asymmetric warfare may search for "principles asymmetric warfare pdf" on the net.

Folks
another main factor is alienation of immigrants within French society, that becomes easy recruiting area for anyone when there is high unemployment xenophobia and extreme misplaced nationalism. Drive through Paris project areas and contrast is so visible. Having lenient gun laws would enable tactical response but bigger challenge is getting communities together. Its only small majority who are extremist but they run and ruin the agenda

Well for the purpose of RKBA, the left, right or center politics appears to just the other side of same coin. The MHA Policy and Arms Amendment Bill was vehemently slammed by the right dominated Standing Committee on Home Affairs. Now the same right wing is running the government, has it withdrawn that anti Constitution and illegal Policy? No. Instead it has come up with even more draconian, anti Constitution and anti Arms Act proposal to amend Arms Rules. Looks like some hidden power(probably the bureaucracy) is actually running the game and these political parties are for doing gimmicks to fool the people.

"India Predicts China War by 2017" source http://www.globalresearch.ca/india-pred ... 2017/12939 probably we shall have to wait till then. Only then the bureaucracy will wake up to the reality, like it did during and after 1962.

Yes this might be a factor that appears on the surface. But what are the intelligence agencies of various nations doing? Was reading another website, it was quoting the Russian President claiming he has evidence that at least 40 countries, including some G20 countries are funding ISIS. Was reading "Steering The Masses Towards Total War" at http://www.globalresearch.ca/steering-t ... ar/5489357 It gives insight into the game that is possibly going on behind the scenes.

@GBM Yes this has been an open secret everyone knows and there was a hurriedly publicized dumping of the rebel arming program just when Russia entered the equation .But what was overt just went covert ! The whole game seems to be a design to reduce dependency on Russsian gas using a pipeline through Syria and Turkey and Assad became a roadblock ,so go destroy a entire country !! Its nothing new Iran 1953 ,Gautemala 1954 ,Indonesia 1958 ,Cuba 1959 ,Iraq 1960-63 ,congo 1960-65,Chile 1971-73, Vietnam 1963 ,Afganistan 1979,Turkey 1980 ,Poland 1980 and many more

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covert_Un ... ge_actions

And yes Bureaucracy is the root cause to further this colonial agenda is not very far from the truth .

Meet The Man Who Funds ISIS: Bilal Erdogan, The Son Of Turkey's President

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-2 ... -president

More and more details are coming to light revealing that the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, variously known as ISIS, IS or Daesh, is being fed and kept alive by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish President and by his Turkish intelligence service, including MIT, the Turkish CIA. Turkey, as a result of Erdogan’s pursuit of what some call a Neo-Ottoman Empire fantasies that stretch all the way to China, Syria and Iraq, threatens not only to destroy Turkey but much of the Middle East if he continues on his present path.

In October 2014 US Vice President Joe Biden told a Harvard gathering that Erdogan’s regime was backing ISIS with “hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of tons of weapons…” Biden later apologized clearly for tactical reasons to get Erdo?an’s permission to use Turkey’s Incirlik Air Base for airstrikes against ISIS in Syria, but the dimensions of Erdogan’s backing for ISIS since revealed is far, far more than Biden hinted.

ISIS militants were trained by US, Israeli and now it emerges, by Turkish special forces at secret bases in Konya Province inside the Turkish border to Syria, over the past three years. Erdogan’s involvement in ISIS goes much deeper. At a time when Washington, Saudi Arabia and even Qatar appear to have cut off their support for ISIS, they remaining amazingly durable. The reason appears to be the scale of the backing from Erdo?an and his fellow neo-Ottoman Sunni Islam Prime Minister, Ahmet Davuto?lu.

Gents,

Please keep the discussion centred on RKBA. Much as I enjoy subjects such as this, forum rules frown upon these. Please keep it in mind. Thank you for your cooperation.
