GNV Garu IMHO The British & subsequently the Indian politicians have done their efforts to the 'disarmament cause' very well. Aunty is only a recent phenomenon..

British needed a toothless India to avoid another 1857 while the Indian netas needed a defenceless public their goons could terrorize into voting for their political party.. Both had an unfettered access to guns...

Ok Gents!

Here are the pics of an extendable cheek support for use with the existing AARMR stock. Extendable butt plate is in progress. As always your views & suggestions shall be taken into account in the final design... :)

As of now manufacturer's specs are as below:

This can be screwed onto the existing Hurricane stock.
Stock has average thickness of 3mm and the cheek support is also 3mm thick with additional glass reinforcement.
Nylon Glass Fibre filled.
It is held in two places by 4mm screws. There are inserts in the slots to hold the 4mm screw in position. 5mm can be used late on if found less sturdy.
Ambidextrous.
Five height settings with steps of 3mm. Initial height increase - 10mm, final - 25mm.

Work in progress on extendable butt right now.

My primary concern is regarding sturdiness. Perhaps an aluminium one with rubber pad on top should be fine?!

Who runs the site is the million dollar question now. Would advice you do not order. Couple of us who knew Tirth tried to find out who runs the site but were not able to. Also heard complaints of orders not delivered, though i cannot vouch for that. Whatsapp me what you want. Perhaps i might be able to give you a lead.

The AARMR SPORTS is sending me the modified parts to test and give feedback. I am waiting for them to arrive. I had been travelling a lot for the past 10 days and didn't find time to test the gun with the old parts post -lubrication. I'll post the post- lubrication results ASAP. And then the results after fitting the new parts also.

Meanwhile, the AARMR techie claims velocity has 'stabilized' between 750-800fps. He still continues to 'oil' his gun afaik, so I would rather trust GNV garu testing the updated equipment, minus the oil! ;)

That original piston seal now has been 'doped' with MoS2 to improve its self-lubrication properties.

Can the wise people pls share their wisdom about that cheek support in progress & perhaps also suggest possible reasons for that damaged guide in case people have faced such issues in the past??!

GNV
Excellent report & thanks for taking so many efforts to post it

I think the manufacture of this gun is also keeping a close watch on your report & making the changes in his guns but he seems to be more interested in increasing the power of the gun than the accuracy.
I am not an expert to give any suggestions I learn all the things form this forum only & as per my experience a spring air gun shooting at around 12 Ft-lbs will give you best accuracy.

@pratik,
You are a little late to the party. Please read the last few pages to get an idea of the "claimed" performance and how it was achieved. ROTFL
Anyways, GNVs test should be a fair indication of the actual performance and accuracy of the product.

Contact details were given earlier in this thread.
But you better wait for a while till they come out with their production model with improved new parts if you are set on buying this gun.

Dear Vivek,
Am in touch with the AARMR guys, got some rapport going. I would suggest you to wait a bit too.

Since my last post, several changes have been done. Gun sports a new crown, Teflon guides, trigger modifications, cheek support & butt-plate attachments... Everyday these guys test some new mods & share their outcomes. More changes are in the pipeline. Should take a month to put it into the market as told by AARMR.

Right they have a new MoS2-doped PU seal design but they're struggling to source it in India as Indian airgun manufacturers refuse to sell their precious blackmail material! Am suggesting some alternative design mods to boost power by a further 10%, they want to make MoS2-PU only... Am glad I didn't marry a Sardarni! :D

If some kind gentleman could share some precious knowledge of MoS2-PU (exact percentages, any special processes etc), it will be godsent help! Am sure AARMR guys would be glad to supply a lifetime supply of MoS2-PU seals in exchange! :P
Else as they say in fouj, "Difficult shall be done immediately, Impossible may take time."..! :)

GNV Garu, am partly responsible for holding up your parts for the want of MoS2-PU material only.. So you get the latest stuff! Hope you don't mind?
