Thanks kshitij! Nice to know we have one more trustworthy dealer.

Try Diana washer & seal. Or any spring of similar dimensions & greater power. Precihole seal will work as well. Somewhere in this thread we have posted its OD & Coils No.

I think its OD 21.3mm stretched, OD 21.8mm compressed, 3.2mm guage, 39 coils.

Do you own the gun already? How is it shooting now??!

If this is going to be your primary gun, then go in for a RWS 34 seal and spring from Vortek or JM. Might be a little expensive, but will be worth it.

Main13,

Got feedback from two members (well known old timers) who don't wish to be referred to, that the trigger is bad. Could you find out if this is recurrent? Like you, I'm waiting for the upgraded version.

Will give it a shot once I get my piece.
I've set my eyes on the Webley Patriot & Diana 350.. But until I can find a way to get them at sensible prices in India, I suppose I'll use this one for plinking...

What exactly are you pointing at.. Pls elaborate?

If you're talking about short trigger pull, that can be fixed by a trigger stirrup mod. Else wait for a conventional stock about which I cannot make any promises about the timeframe of its arrival.
Best bet is to buy the gun once it matures, then take out the action & put it into a nice thumbhole walnut stock...

Personally I feel that plastic is no match for wood but then it isn't fair to ask for 1000fps, 1" groups & walnut wood, all in 8000 bucks.. That too in India where garbage sells for much more...

Other than that I'm inclined to believe from GNV sir's detailed posts that the trigger is rather good, two-stage adjustable, as it is.

I would want to buy a piece myself by the end of the month, by which time I hope they will have sorted out the teething troubles. If you want you can buy with me. Perhaps if we had a few orders in hand, we could dictate our terms...

GNV Garu, Other Hurricane Owners:

It seems the Hurricane doesn't have a forward spring guide.. How does it keep the spring 'centred' then??!
Perhaps this is another factor that's causing those vibrations...

The Wise gents, pls comment??!

I'm assuming you'd only shot 350 magnums all your life & never suffered the ugly misfortune of touching an Indian AR in your life before..! Also assuming you've not tuned it..
The data provided by you is way beyond normal for Indian ARs shooting out of the box!

Do the maths for 3" drop at 20m distance for a 15.43gr pellet & you'll come up with muzzle energy in excess of 14J (1g@500fps) & actual muzzle velocities of around 550fps.

This is perfectly normal & expected. Its a good idea to do some calculations before posting negative reviews on a shooting forum!

For flatter trajectories, use a lighter pellet or modify & tune the gun.
You can find the springs & washers with your local gun dealers or online..

If you've not tuned a gun before, I'd recommend taking your gun to a good bandook mistri - he'll do the job for you. Choose to play with a gun without being totally sure of what you're doing, you might not get the chance to regret your decision..! Or at the very least, pieces of metal that once used to be your gun... ;)

If you're still unhappy with the gun's power, you always have the choice of selling it to me at half price & buy a Whiscombe! :D

Dear imsuwati,
It is perfectly all right to express your concern on forum.
It is the buyer ,who desides what is best for him.
For that you need not have to use some magnum gun.
There are various threads relating the performance of ARs.
Pl.read as much as you can and decide accordingly.

Even though I have not tested the gun with good pellets yet, I plinked a little and with some stupid unknown brand light weight pointed pellets I have I am hitting a target about the size of 1.25 " bang on at about 15 yards and 30 yards with a roughly zeroed scope.

Good to hear again from you GNV sir! Been waiting for your posts since some time.

Been speaking with the AARMR guy quite regularly. According to his latest tests post some modifications, the gun breaks in at about 100 shots @ 750fps with 16gn Magnashot pointed pellets. This is before tuning.

That's a very impressive 20 ft-lb or 27J shooting out of the box! He says it can be further increased by 100fps with Cherokee or Tasco springs. Am sure Maccari would produce way better.. Expect 40+J post customization...
Hope this settles the Indian AR power game once & for all...

Have told him to introduce:
#1) Barrel Choke
#2) 11° Target Crown
#3) Synthetic Rear Guide
#4) Machined Top Hat
#5) Gas Ram version
#6) .177 target shooting version

He has agreed to all the above. Except #5 & #6, all the other modifications are already being tested & finalized.

Bad news is, he refuses to do conventional stock, despite my best efforts, no idea why.. I would recommend IFGian gents to buy the gun as is & get an adjustable walnut stock!
An accurate Indian AR that shoots 27J out of box@8000 bucks should be stolen, on a preorder, on a holiday..! Even Desi Tamanchas sell for more... :D

Interested people can keep in touch with me about bulk buying (am buying by month end) & any specific modifications they need.
[& Before anyone asks me, No! I ain't no smart-bottomed bandook dealer hired by AARMR to boost sales but an information security specialist by profession with an active interest in weapons & firearms designing, so helping an 'Indian Magnum' take shape for the common good! People with similar interests & professional capacity are requested to kindly ping].

GNV Garu, as I promised, your guides shall be sent to you as demanded. Pls keep in touch on PM or Whatsapp (preferred), will holler when its ready to go into full production.

Love & Regards,

What a truck load of bull dung! 20fpe out of the box and 30fpe after tuning ROTFL
Someone has to be either really stupid to post some thing like this or must believe that we are all extremely stupid to belive a bunch of crap like this!

The original poster takes all the time and effort to buy a product, post an in depth review of the product, then take the trouble of opening it up and again post a detailed write up on the disassembly, the internals etc only to have someone come along and post a bunch of lies on his thread! All this baseless commentary without even procuring or ever actually using the product!
Whats next? Claims of half inch groups at 200yards with this spring powered air rifle?!
Stop trolling around main13, if you want to post a bunch of fiction fantasy of what you want out of a spring powered budget air rifle, start a new thread. We will all comment with we would want our dream air rifles to do on that thread but draw the line at trying to make dubious claims on a genuine thread.

Tell you what, go get this air rifle for yourself, prove your baseless claims to be true, make me eat humble pie and I would be more than glad to foot the bill for your air rifle!
Untill then stop taking a dump of lies here.

Cheers.
