Hi Jackie

I understand what you meant, but if we were to ever make this happen we will have to attack the perception of this sport first. Even the businesses in India currently focus on the show value of the gun than the sport or its functioning. Airsoft as a sport/activity needs to be promoted than the product itself. If I'm the only one here who thinks like that, I'll probably shut up. A good way to get the ball rolling would be too start a dedicated airsoft forum and discuss ideas there.

@nitin
10-30 BBs/mag
30-50 shots per mag refill
50-60 mag refills per gas can

This the standard pattern. Variations depending on gun model, temperature & usage.

Sadly, everyone genuine i know shut shop. You'll have to import by yourself or pay 10x to the pankaj fellow.

Hi Mahesh

I'm originally from Mumbai but currently based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and heavily involved in airsoft here. My dream is to make airsoft as popular as paintball in India, there is a very good opportunity and a huge market, we are all aware about the hurdles. What is your airsoft story? Airsoft enthusiasts here on IFG should communicate more to move towards making this a reality.

@Sobo. Let us know your plan so we can pledge our support. Airsoft can be a lot more popular in India than paintball. All we need is a plan of action.

Right now life is in the way of dreams. Not to get ahead of myself but I covered some ground on it so far. I contacted JGWorks and G&G, two of biggest Taiwan based airsoft manufacturers, their reply was if I had a registered business and a solid b-plan, they would support me and become suppliers for airsoft guns and accessories. I also talked to a family friend with solid contacts at impex office, who said shipping would be a hurdle only for the first import, when they would test the "toys" at their "lab" by their "experts"(the level of sarcasm is getting a little high). After that it would be a regular affair, once I have an impex license. Another option discussed was shipping disassembled parts, that doesnt seem to be the problem as I have experience working with airsoft guns and knowledge can be transferred, but business-wise it doesnt make sense since I would lose the warranty on them. I have also done some market research(excluding the poll on IFG) and studied the growth of the sport in other developing countries like Phillipines and talking to airsoft biz owners there. I dont believe any of the above is a trade-secret so I'm sharing it. In any case, if anyone is able to utilize the data to start something I will be more than happy to support it.

Hi Guys,
I have been searching for a good airsoft pistol for many days now. ordered one from Amazon.in which was a US Marine Sp02 kit which had 2 springers and a sticky target.Springers could fire at 285FPS. it was only 3922 but unfortunately the seller couldn't deliver as it got confiscated at customs. however I got my money back. i also checked at tiger111hk and other sites but dint want to involve custom haggles. That pankaj guy is asking 15k for AEP !!! Fortunately today I got an airsoft from M Saleh and Co in Crawford Mkt.It is modeled on the Browning C.17. It has a metal barrel ,High grade plastic and a dead metal weight in the handle. Its weight is almost a kg and looks beautiful. best part is it cost me jus 1500/-

Congrats! That looks like a proper entry level springer & that too for not much more than china price. Good deal.

The amazon airsoft kit you ordered comes from US through Headrush.in, which even they know can never be cleared by the books. Amazon protection FTW. And it's interesting you came across a non-cheapo springer at a local gun store. It's not new but it rarely happens.

If you get to open it up, check what material the internals are made of. Mostly it's gonna last a while if there's some metal in there. Plink away.

Hi Sandy,
You are right about Headrush.in but I ordered it from shopyourworld.in. I dont understand if they cant deliver why do they list it. Another one to stay away from is grabmore.in who sell this kit fr 6k odd. Again no movement even after a month of ordering so cancelled it again. Fortunately lapped up this beauty and it was the last they had. They are not selling it anymore as they say they get complaints from mothers n parents about boys scaring people off with these airsofts. It fires quite well. Has capacity of 9 bbs at a time.
Sandy can I purchase good quality bbs in India ?? The ones that came along are breaking off :-(

Headrush, shopurworld, grabmore, ibhejo, booyahchicago, i2cworld etc are all on-demand importers. They always go by the rule, so only hope will be if item misses the random customs check altogether, which happens in btw. If the item listing has "Delivered in 1-3 weeks" nearby, better stay away if it's for airsoft. Also, they don't have any clue about their listings since most of them are auto-listed from other portals.

You will have to import high grade .12g BBs for it if you need quality. Never seen any locally, & these springers can't effectively haul .2g. Still it's not worth it considering the gun itself is not high grade, & they all will shatter considering the light weight. Pick a bag of TM .12g if you can find.

Hi guys, M Saleh don't have any of these in stock and they even said that I won't find any in Mumbai at the moment. Might wait for a few more days and check with them again.
