Can I buy this airsoft gun ?

Hey guys.. Hello

I am new to this forum. I am 19 years old. I am from Kolkata. I want to buy an electric airsoft gun. By searching the Internet, I came across this gun:

So, can I order it from there ? If yes, what membership and license I need to have so that the Customs will not have problems.

And guys, how is your experience with pyramidairsoft.com ? Are they trustworthy ?

An airsoft gun is a toy, not a firearm.
You do not need a license to own one.

As far as getting it through customs, it might just depend on something as simple as which side of the bed the customs guy got out of, that morning.

Shokk, welcome to IFG. Wish you used the search feature to find the answer by yourself.

Ofcourse you can order it from there. But you may not receive it that's all. Or you might. There's no easy answer. My customs sty thinks airsoft is firearm, & it'll take great pains to prove them otherwise. Even then it might not succeed w/o 100+% penalty.

So it depends on your luck. Try importing by surface mail coz they rarely inspect them, atleast with mine.

I saw some threads and also saw your replies mate. I think it is really a tough job to import airsoft guns in India. I think you know much about the matter.
I just want to ask you something. Do you know where can I get a exact AK47 Replica Airsoft gun in India? I do not care if it is plastic or full metal, but it should be the exact copy of AK47. Do you know anyone who has one here ? Or any dealer who can do it?

I love CYMA and JG Ak47.
Please help.

The "exact replica" part sounds scary. Hope you are harmless. No one sells it in India, atleast not the electric ones. You'll get toyish spring ones, but not decent versions.

CYMA & JG are both decent brands now, with JG having stronger gearboxes. A few of my friends have cyma but they imported them years ago when restrictions were low. If you can wait a while, you might be able to import but expect more than 2x rates. Almost impossible otherwise.

2x rate is ok. But AirsoftGunIndia says 65000 !! Isn't that too much ?? And for that "exact replica" - I AM A BIG FAN OF AK

Yesterday I mailed PyramidAirsoft and Evike.com. I asked them if they will shift to India. Both of them came with negative replies. They said that for complications with customs in the past, they don't ship to India anymore. Ahh. Thats sad. Now PyramaidAirsoft also stopped shipping to India.

What should I do ? I want an airsoft AK.

As i said above, there is NO way to import it on your own peacefully. The 2x rate i said will come to 30k atleast. I'm an AK fan too but having a proper replica here for reasonable rates is not easy as it sounds. If you can assemble it, import it as spares by surface mail. It'll take an year to finish it though. Other options are to pay 65k or wait a while. Your call. Importing replicas of full length assault rifles in metal is not as easy as its pistol counterparts.

The last best option if you can really risk your payment is to import a fully assembled gun from tiger111hk, say a JG AK for like 12k shipped. That way when it gets detained, there's a tiny chance to prove your point that it's a toy by showing the internal wires and everything. If it doesn't work, you only lose 12k. If you get it in parts and if one package gets detained it would be very difficult to convince them about the nature of the item, since it would be mostly in metal. Again, use surface mail but there won't be delivery guarantee.

So these are the worst case scenarios. If you are a lucky one, you'll get it w/o any issues, but that's rare.
