Wish to take a Handgun license in Delhi

Hi All

I am businessman in New Delhi, aged 30 years. I have my exports business of textile items and sometimes I have to travel outside Delhi with cash for business purpose regarding my business but that is not very often. I have no threat of life, no strong reason as per Indian Arms law to own a licensed Gun but since past many years I have wished to get a license gun for myself, I don't need it as a hobby instead I strongly believe to have it for my safety and my family as I have a big family and don't live in a very good place.

I request you all to please suggest me ways how to finally attain a licence for handgun.

Hi All

I am a citizen of New Delhi living in South Delhi and have my business in New Delhi also. As I already mentioned that I am into exports of Textile items for which I have to travel outside Delhi with cash. Even my home is not at a very peaceful and safe environment, I strongly wish to have a gun for my and my family's safety. Even if I am able to get a handgun license for Delhi only it will be good enough. No one in my family owns an arm nor we have any threat of life, so in my case I am clueless about how to get a license in Delhi.

I request you all to please help me with your valuable suggestions so that I can finally apply for a license
