Also, you need to find out which pellets are liked by your rifle and stick to it.. My rifle likes Precipell Match and RWS made wadcutters.

Thanks for clearing that a particular pellet suits a particular AR. I own some air rifles before going in for firearms, but since I never tried to document the results of the AR's and had never bothered about the pellet used. In the last few months I have been buying pellets based on the looks of the pack and a wide variety of the pellets like, single, double and triple head. Also wad cutter, round head and pointed head.
Also since I plan to plink around only I would still like to continue buying the pellets Indian and imported by their looks only.
But Thanks again for the important information.
Regards

Suyash, that you will have to find out. As I prefer to make the payment online along with the order so that any one can take the delivery at home. And in one instance there was no one at home and I got a call from the delivery fellow. I asked him to hand over the parcel to my neighbor, that would not have been possible in a situation of Cash against Delivery.

I've seen many 'fancy' sort of pellets online: gamo armour piercing, gamo raptor and gamo rocket. Are they really good or just "fancy crap"? Anyone has experience with them? If they are doing what they claim I'll surely buy them.

Suyash, my advise would be that you first be clear about what you want to do with your AR, like plinking, target practice etc., Then spend some time shooting with several types and makes of pellets to find out which are the pellets that your rifle likes. Once you have identified that, stick to those pellets. Happy and safe shootingSuyash wrote:I've seen many 'fancy' sort of pellets online: gamo armour piercing, gamo raptor and gamo rocket. I have seen many people suggesting here to "identify the pellets that your AR 'likes' and stick to it".
How do we really pick and realize the pellet that our AR likes?
Am just curious - Is it only by the snug fit in the breech & the accuracy we get with a particular pellet?
Are there any other parameters to consider while picking the pellets?

Re: Accessories For Air Rifles
So friends, I got a good solution for pellets "kovi bazaar is on Amazon" (they offer cash on delivery) actually I have never tried through credit card or net banking because I don't feel my money is safe there. As kovi is just launched on amazon , they are not offering much variety but so far they are most reasonable (up to Rs 350:))
Hope they'll soon introduce more variety

Well, its a good move, but I do not understand one thing.
They have their own website and they provide better options and price on another e-retail website...
I was looking at the "RWS GECO Diabolo - .177 Precice Match Pellets", the Kovibazaar.com prize is Rs. 525 + 50 (shipping) with no COD option, however the Amazon.com price by the kovibazaar seller is Rs. 525 + 35 (shipping) + COD.

No easy way out. Bench rest and shoot every brand of pellet you can get - at least 5 or 10 shots and see which gives the best grouping.Ultimate Sniper wrote:

If you want to know what others are happy with let me start by saying I find Precipell. Diana Flat head and Marshal shot flat head good. Others are happy with Mastershot Wadcutter, Mastershot Export and AIMCO. round head. For some reason Mastershot Export did not work for me

It seems that no one has used the gamo armour or gamo raptors.... I brought gamo pro magnum. They are very tight with my rifle. I've to hammer the pellets in the chamber! I'm giving up the idea of gamo armour piercing.

Hi Suyash, these fancy pellets may not fit or not be suitable for many Indian rifles. I have Gamo Pro Magnum in .177 which fits on my Polaris.Suyash wrote:It seems that no one has used the gamo armour or gamo raptors.... I brought gamo pro magnum. They are very tight with my rifle.
