TwoRivers, I agree Brno Brno/CZ stocks are hit & miss, every now and then one with nice wood comes along. Sometimes there is nice wood lurking under the crude finish that CZ slaps on their rifles. Stock strength does not matter much on a .22 but I would be very careful on any hard recoiling rifle like a .375 or bigger. I would ensure that they are bedded and cross bolts installed by someone who knows what they are doing.

The rifles are factory with no customization, my smith cleaned up the stock on the right as CZ had some crude finish on it but I could see that there is nice wood underneath.

Even the beech stocked rifle is pretty good for beech.
452's are very hard to find now. All I see are 455's in stock.
Last year, my local gun shop had a 452 MTR with some really nice wood. I hesitated a day too long and it was gone.
I still kick myself.
I really don't need any more .22 LR rifles but it is hard to pass on a CZ.
They are aesthetically pleasing and the actions are so slick.
