or probably its the rifle that did it
TC
Basu Da... thank you so much.

But in the entire narrative of your experience - the highlighted quote above - sums up the saga

Due to TC's sterling achievements in the field of rodent annihilation and his consequent service to mankind, I believe he has earned the right to hang out his shingle.
So I hereby present him a plaque to screw into his front door.
.... and for the shoulder patch on his cammies

A dead rat, pierced; on an Eastern Star, on a field of green.
(my apologies to the Desert Rats of the UK's 7th Armored and the famed US "2 I.D." for stealing parts of their insignia)

nice one
xl_target - really nice!
"What do you think you are doing, still in your towel and what's the rifle doing on my bed ?", the lady walked in, "are you immune to cold ? Won't you go to office?" ..... the questions barely went into my head. "Honey this rifle is a keeper," I turned around with a wide smile and picked up my jeans
TC you know the stuff that I really liked was when you were waxing eloquent...we sure do have a story-teller here, a la Louis L'amour

XL,
What a grand honour
These are simply fantastic and I am gonna get printouts and actually make these.
Don't know if the lady will allow it on the front door
But I can surely put it up on the wind shield of my Ritz. That would be nice.
Oh I just love the patch and he decal XL. Thank you so so much
Wish you and your family a happy and prosperous year

Kalyan Dada, I am deeply touched.
I often hate the dry and lifeless words I say to the world for a living. This is a space that lets me breathe and pour my heart out at times
Thank you
Wish you and your family a very happy and eventful year

Hats off to your flight of imagination & creativity in conceptualizing & designing a 'brand identity' for our 'Rodent Exterminator' par excellence

XL, unfortunately the pics are missing!!
TC da, the rat extermination story is way better written than some big game hunting stories I have read!
Cheers!

Glad you liked it TC. I spent most of the morning working on that.
Brihaji,
Having spent many a night during my misspent youth, lurking near the backs of the Colaba skyscrapers, with a flashlight and air rifle; I identify with TC's pursuit of large rodents (except that I had my pants on at the time
).
However, now that I look at it, a more appropriate motto would have been "nil rattus carborundum" but I have no problem referring to those little b@$#*%#s as "illegitemi".

I am grateful XL... from deep inside.
Having seen designers in my office working so hard on the graphics I know how how of hard work went into this.
I promise to turn your labour of love into proud possessions
I identify with TC's pursuit of large rodents (except that I had my pants on at the time
I let myself into this with my pants down
