EXPERIENCING THE JOYS OF SHOOTING!!!
EXPERIENCING THE JOYS OF SHOOTING!!!
Hi Guys!
Mumbai has been enjoying some pleasant weather for the last few days – Average of 26* during daytime & 21* during nights….
After a soul satisfying & enjoyable time at JAPA, last weekend was a bit of a letdown (thank heavens, the old girl doesn’t have an access to this forum!!!!!) as family commitments demanded my space and time. However the redeeming aspect was an evening out with fellow IFGians Ankesh & Kshitij spent over a light dinner consuming Tandoori Chicken Wraps, washed down with tall glasses of Chocolate Milkshakes…
During this gastronomic indulgence we discussed at length about target shooting, plinking, types of ARs, their pros & cons, attachments, accessories, our achievements & disappointments etc….
This morning when I woke up at 5am (my usual time) I could not contain the ‘twitch’ in my trigger finger… Sneaking out of my bed I picked up my trusted Samurai 3G & NX100, a few SMK & Precipel pellets & a couple of target sheets and headed to the living room (30ft x 15ft)…
While the family enjoyed their blissful slumber, I went…Thwak…Thwak…Thwak!!!! - A session that lasted under 15 minutes…but one that energized me to take on the ‘Monday Morning Blues’ with a song in my heart & a bounce in my step
AMEN!!!
> Samurai 3G 22cal - SMK 14gr RH - 25ft - Sitting Handheld
> Precihole NX100 - Precipel 15gr RH - 25ft - Sitting Handheld
PS: Those of you who perhaps wonder about shooting in my living room – can put your mind at rest as I had taken adequate ‘Safety Precautions’ by putting up a 2” thick 2ft x 2ft wooden block on top of which was taped 6 layers of newspaper & the target sheets!!!!
Where there’s a Will – There’s a Way!

So while we were fast asleep and dreaming about shooting, you were actually having a go at it!
I guess you should get some one to put up a few reactive targets/beer cans on the tin shed that you showed us last night. That would make a nice 100 meter plinking target to shoot at from home

There's nothing like a good day punching some paper.
Brihaji, I hope when I am your age, my eye is still as good and my hand is as steady as yours is today.
You are always an inspiration on what to strive towards.
