Re: Some new knives in my collection (pic heavy)
Here are some branded Indian blades.
Four Fudeda knives on your left, from Gujarat.
A Maqsood straight edge stainless steel razor from Delhi. (I believe Maqsood razors are also made in Pakistan).
The brands are stamped on the blades or handles. I'm interested in branded Indian blades (as opposed to thousands of generic makers of kirpans, khukris, rampuris, peche kattis, etc)

Hey everyone
Its our bad luck......... we are fond of knives at place like india where everyone laughs on our hobby other than some like you guys. We cant use our blades in open. We have to compromise a lot. No camping no outings here in my area. Just watch your blades... clean it...n.... keep it back.. But we are so crazy that we always try to buy new knives.....hehehe.

Hello Mr. Moin
I need an advice from you. Actually one of my family member is going to UK and I don't want to miss this opportunity of getting a good blade from there.
But being a newbie, I am not much aware of different brands and types. So kindly suggest me a good tanto style folding knife.
Regards
Samrat

Razors you say Mr.Painn well here are mine. Traditional cut throat type, not the ones where you insert half a razor blade. I had searched for these high and low all over mumbai but found them in a small town in Gujrat...painn wrote:Here are some branded Indian blades.

My apologies but I have no clue as to what is readily available i the UK. From what I've heard from people blade related laws are pretty tough in the UK so little's available and stuff is expensive. I guess what most people buy from UK are Fairbarn Sykes Commando knives from Military surplus stores in the UK.
Tow affordable good quality folders in Tanto which immediately come to mind are
1) http://www.coldsteel.com/Product/RECON. ... ERIES.aspx
The recon series of folders are built like tanks and are rock solid....
2) http://www.crkt.com/Otanashi-noh-Ken-Fo ... ical-Knife
I have this one and this is the nastiest tanto available in the marker. Beleive me, it's a scary looking blade....

Lolzz. No Dada, these are already shaving sharp, once stropped these will be too scary for a clumsy dodo like me to shave with. I keep cuting myself even with the Vic SAK's. Can't risk cutting my throat with one of these.essdee1972 wrote:Moin ...... I see you have your retirement plan in place!!

The cold steel recon mini tanto 3.5" is available with cart2india.com
I also found Tops/Buck CSAR-T tanto on their site. But the question is are these knives original or Chinese replicas.

Moin, on behalf of the entire CMG........ THANKS A LOT!!!
And after the next CMG meeting, the rest of our IFG bros will refer to us as "SFG" - Scar Face Gang. From trying to shave oneself with a cutthroat!
