The barrel on my gun is not exactly aligned with the stock. It touches the stock on right side. When I break it, these two areas brush against one another and now both are showing marks. Is this ok? Or is there some problem?

Just had a look at my weapon too and I can see similar marks. Enquired with my master and he said its normal as long as it does not object your cocking. Do you feel the obstruction while cocking??

U needs to remove the stock first & than using sand paper remove some materials from right side of the stock which is touching the barrel

timuseravan am no expert here but I can say that it's not a problem. My range is equipped with precihole sx series and most of them have these signs.timuseravan wrote:So can the forum experts confirm if it is a problem?

timuseravan,
Not sure if this post is too late as you may have already purchased your AR. Anyways, I had a word with customer care lady from Precihole and asked her the same question.
Maintenance for Springer/Break barrel ARs is not that high, except for the cost of replacement of the metal spring/nitro gas spring itself. The nitro spring costs Rs.2800 as of today. Not sure of the metal spring cost, but its will be lower than the nitro spring cost.
The metal springs (SX100 series) approx. life is about 3000-3500 shots. That's ~60 shots per week (52 weeks in a year).
The Nitro gas spring (NX100 series) on the other hand lasts ~10000 shots. That's ~195 shots per week (52 weeks in a year).
Note: These are just estimates and the performance may depend on other factors.
Consider your usage and do the math and you will get an idea about the maintenance costs.
