Good advise in general! And I understand it is more applicable to bigger cities like New York where pedestrians are large in number, especially in some areas. But running away is not always practical. For instance it would not be possible if accompanied by a lady or small children. And then there are those of us who are neither fast, nor light enough or young enough to sprint away.
