First off, I have never used one of these even though they have been around forever. It is a tool that forms little cups out of aluminum pop cans that you put an ordinary cap gun paper cap into, and presto! you get a size #11 percussion cap!
If anyone has a traditional muzzle loader that uses a #11 cap, this with a bullet mould and a pound of powder will provide a LOT of economical shooting!

No. I don't use sabots in muzzle loaders at the moment, though that may change in the future but for right now I either use conical slugs or round balls that have a cloth patching.
