May be a metal washer can come in handy ? And then a high grit sand paper ? OK done. But still the other Qn - Do we stick the shim beneath or simply slide it over followed by the O ring ?

1. Metal shims are washers available at all hardware stores - If you get the right OD & ID to fit your breech - Fine...
2. If not you get the closest size (ususally bigger) & file it / sand it to the correct size _ I have done it
3. If the ID is smaller then use a round file & enlarge it to fit....
4. Do not stick the shim, either at the breech bottom or to the seal... JUST DROP FIT THEM
