Re: My New IHP 35 .177..... Sneak Peak!
amazing......
you shoot very well ......the ihp shoots very well...to gather a great combination.
generally a set spring tends to be consistent. a new spring may have the initial scatter and a shift in poi , but once it sets it should regain its accuracy.
7 in 1...I just need an excuse for that extra "chota". guess I got it. thanks Sathya and cheers.

Screw the power enjoy the accuracy which is the only thing that makes shooting a pleasure. And that is some real good shooting you have dome there. Keep your new spring until this one becomes old and then replace it.sathya.sniper wrote: But the spring is giving me less power compared to a new spring. So might have to change the spring.
And I have already bought a Gsmith spring but if I replace a Gsmith spring will it affect accuracy compared to the Diana spring used.
Had to experiment it may be after 200 to 500 shots.
My personal feeling is that really powerful air rifles make a difference only if you are shooting at ranges over 30 meters. Less than 25 meters high power is not necessary. At 10 meters even the so called low power rifles can be a real pleasure.
Anyone who wants more power is welcome to invest in a 12.7 mm sniper rifle and use his 1000 meter backyard to practice.

Re: My New IHP 35 .177..... Sneak Peak!
You are right !
As you said power comes into the factor only when we are gonna hit targets beyond 25 mtrs
And for now since i am using a open sight I might not need much power.
But I am planning to mount a scope on my rifle. So if a scope comes into play this power might not be enough.
So I had to change the spring.
Till that I am gonna enjoy shooting Twigs and flies.... lol

This is a very good choice of rifle for sure, sreenivaspkamath wrote:as suggested by sathya sniper i too purchased a brand new ihp 35 .177. this rifle is awesome. good accuracy and power.
I am very much satisfied with my IHP 35 .177 performance,
As said by BAsu you rifle seems to be powerful enough even straight from the factory.
It has pierced a steel plate, What range was the shot taken.

IHP air rifles are having much better grooves than Precihole Sports and are also factory tuned, but the manufacturer doesn't publicize their plus points in social media. All break barrel models are now available in Wooden or Plastic butts. The breech washer has been replaced with rubber one and has now greatly improved rear sights and front sights.

Nice article. It is easy to understand why a higher rate of twist results in lower velocities. But technically, unless the differences in accuracy are tested for statistical significance, conclusions would be meaningless.pratik_mahale wrote:sathya.sniper,
good review
I also have IHP 35 in .177 & the grooves of .177 is far better than .22
For more info regarding the twist rate & it effect on power & accuracy read this blog from pyramyydair
very well explained

For test sake imo you should try bench rest shooting which would rule out shooter error to an extend.sathya.sniper wrote:Hai all,
My rifle performed well in 10 yards I guess.
Even though I am a average shooter
Today I decided to take the range a bit more longer.
So Now
DISTANCE: 15 yards
GROUP : 15 SHOTS (increased the shot to find out consistency)
The same Standing Position
Pics below....

The shot group in the down area is the last few shots..
The size was measured except some flyers/or may be gone by my mistake.

Think I had to concentrate more, And had to carry out some breathing practices may be.
Will post the performance of Gsmith in the same range tomorrow..
