Deer Hunt (Pics)
Back from a deer hunt. Got a buck with a nice head. The buck was taken in Ontario Canada where hunting for whitetail is legal during the hunting season with valid permits & licenses.
Passed on 4 doe's on the first day. Saw 2 doe's on the second day but did not shoot as I wanted a buck. This buck stepped out around 4:40 pm.
Used a 30-06 180 grain Fusion and the distance was 153 yards ( as per my range finder). A follow up shot was not needed as the first shot dropped him where he stood and the bullet performed well.
The rifle was a Browning White Gold Medallion in 30-06. The initial plan was to take the Savage in .308 but grabbed the Browning at the last moment (so much for plans http://www.indiansforguns.com/viewtopic ... 13&t=20265)

Great hunting Herb, he is a very respectable fellow! It sounds like the rifle and shooter both performed as well as the bullet -- no surprise! Thanks for sharing the pics!

Congrats, Herb, on a beautiful buck.
Glad to see the new rifle was properly blooded.
Are you going to have that mounted?
