Babar.....i would say that is a pretty good group if you are shooting off hand. guess the weight of the rifle is getting to you as you keep shooting !! you are right , you need to adjust the windage to center the group. you could also try benching it as Briha suggested...get used to the feel and also help you sight it in.

what pellets are you using ??

Babar.....that looks good. when you shoot a ten shot string its a good idea to mentally map the poi of each pellet . that can help figure out if the shift in poi is consistent.....meaning you have two sets of good clusters in the string ; were they from consequent shots or a random shift of poi creating those two clusters. if you can understand that jumble of words....many reasons that could give you those two clusters. basic......check the stock screws and the one on the trigger guard. the screws could be working loose.

one thing for sure the rifle is shooting good. interesting to know if the seller had changed springs / seals etc

I replaced the oem screws on my D350 and Bsa mercury with allen screws. got the ones with the large heads that sit tight in the grooves on the stock. works for me.

that's the oem Diana stock screw on the left. the middle is a stainless steel allen screw which gives the rifle a classy look, but it is a wee bit loose in the groove. I use the screw on the right; perfect fit and is flush with the stock. looks good too.



my idea of a Sunday morning. too lazy to shoot at paper, so shoot a pellet with my mercury into a wall. the pellet just about sticks into the cement. then use the 350. the white marks are pellets from the mercury and are very clearly visible with the dark back ground and make ideal targets for short ranges....the 350 punches right through as the dark holes show. anyways that is a 5 shot string aiming at the pellet (POA). rifle was shooting high....blame my fidgety nephew !! I was quite pleased. shot a pellet to the right from the mercury for comparison. could cover the hole with a Rs 1 coin. good enough for me...... standing ; off hand ; open sights at 14 yards.

that poor wall is my punching bag. kind of use it to check penetration ( power) or sight in the rifle or just do as I do above. shooting paper bores me. I just stretch it out to 20 , 30 40 yards...of course with larger targets and the 350 consistently gives me tight groups. beyond 50 yards my eye sight lets me down so that my limit.

it is a 2000 manufacture and the trigger is the plastic 2 stage adjustable i think T05.The gun was in super condition with not a scratch,even the breech and ball lock mechnasim where clean.
the sides of the barrel linkage also clean with no wear at all. i think the gun was hardley used.tried it at 30feet by shooting a 1 inch thick board of compressed wood and the wad cutter pellet gave a clean round hole in front with a chunk missing at the back,gun was cocking like butter.was hooked straight buy......

great rifle Adrian....and in that condition, the price is a steal !! and if the rifle "cocks like butter" the previous owner must have really maintained it well. yes the to5 trigger was introduced in 2000. just a wild guess.....did you get it in Whitefield. I have seen some great old spring air guns there.

amazing ; the 34 was introduced by Diana in 1984 and except for a few cosmetic changes, is still around and till date is their best selling rifle.

I have no idea of the power output of a stock 34, maybe 14 to 15 ft lbs, would be a reasonable guess mate.

got in bangalore itself from a gun dealer who happened to have 4 different models and i settled for this one as it fell in my budget. The power as per research is 15 ft lbs.1000fps am currently using G smith pellets with great results. Accuracy is great, managed to know a large ant from 15 feet and a cockroach from 20ft.
