Briha,
About 2 to three feet. A friend had captured a Dhaman and checkered keel back in some ones house and was releasing them in the forest at Shahpur. I lay down on the ground and asked him to release in front of me, both of the snakes were inquisitive and fearless enough to come up to the camera and stare...

___________________
friends,
had been to kabini last week.here is a brief account;
we where there by sunday noon and was greeted by the manager mr.kunal sharma and his naturalists.as the monsoon was at its peek we where warned that animal sighting will be poor.yet still we had hopes.they have nature walk ,boat ride on kabini back water and jeep safari.
the same day we had been on a jeep safari and saw an elephant,cheetal(jinky in kanada),peacock and lots of birds.
next evening we decided on a boat ride and saw some rare birds which i will share with you all.
regards
