Re: Applied for arms license delhi
Hi ,
There's a problem. I don't have a copy of the application and the supporting documents, like the affidavit, medical certificate etc. which were submitted along with the application. I didn't occur to me at that time to keep a copy.
Is it going to be a problem ? Will they accept my appeal without these docs?
Thanks,
Rahul

Affidavit, medical certificate etc. are NOT a requirement under Arms Act 1959. So even if you do have or not have photocopies of these it hardly matters. The main thing is the rejection letter on basis of which you will appeal. Hopefully you have acknowledgment receipt of submitting the original application form.

Re: Applied for arms license delhi
thanks gbm. Yes I do have an acknowledgement receipt of the submitted application.
I am uploading a draft of my appeal document. Can you please review it and let me if anything else is required to be added.
Also if you can let me know about the other docs required. The guy I spoke to mentioned about an affidavit, court fees and some forms.
What is the amount of the court fees and the DD should be on whose name?
What amount should the affidavit be of ?

The draft looks good. It is good that you have cited many High Court judgments to support your appeal.
A number of members of this forum have gone through this process of appeal to LG of Delhi. They will be in best position to advise you. Also if you can let me know about the other docs required. The guy I spoke to mentioned about an affidavit, court fees and some forms.

It looks good. Do let us know what the exact process is for filing the appeal with the LG. I'll have to appeal my wife's rejection and my rejection for addition / area of validity / ammo increase!rahulbdelhi wrote:thanks gbm. Yes I do have an acknowledgement receipt of the submitted application.

Re: Applied for arms license delhi
Hi,
I filed the appeal today. Here's the process :-
Go to the Finance Commissioner's office : B block, 5 Sham Nath Marg with two copies of your appeal documents and annexures on any weekday except Wednesday. The contact person is Mr. Subhas. He will verify your documents, suggest corrections if any and give you a hearing date.
1. Make sure that all the documents have page numbers and they are mentioned in the index. The printing should be only on one side of the paper ie. no duplex printing.
2. The affidavit should be attested by a notary public, but no stamp paper is required.
3. The order of documents should be -
1. Index
2. Memo of parties
3. Appeal
4. All the annexures, numbered
5. Affidavit and verification
4. You will also need 5 court fee stamps of Rs 20 and Rs 10 each. These are available at the Tis Hazari court.
5. Also bring along a large envelope for enclosing all the documents and postage stamps as per the weight of the envelope. I bought for Rs 100. There's a post office at Tis Hazari court as well.
6. A copy of the processing fee form (attached).
Thanks,
Rahul.
