May I have an idea as to why Mr Basu is being prosecuted? may be he has posted something offending others or matters relating to crime, but that needs to be explained and one must be necessarily given a second chance in this democratic country. Summery execution like this only possible in Idi Amin era. I found him quite a decent and witty person.

Dear Mod,
Thanks for withdrawing suspension.Thanks all those who evaluated the matter under given context and expressed their views.
There are some part of my posts which were removed by you.
As a Mod you are very much at liberty to do, I admit that.
My intent was to put some anecdotes togather which might have happened in past in India or outside India.
There was no intent to encourage hunting,illegal fishing or illegal arms.
Corbett's books still sells in India for reading pleasure only.
My posts are limited to my knowlegde and knowhow only.
Any member for that matter will always request for natural justice for any penal measure taken by you for any reason whatsoever.

Gents,
While it nice to have such get together s, you might want to follow a certain pattern.
1) After intros and all play with the toys. One guy be the armourer (can be the host), ensure that everything is unloaded before being handed out for play.
2) Target shooting to be supervised again by one armourer or host or most experienced. Person must keep chanting safety mantras like no fingers on trigger till target acquired. Plus ensure that barrels only face down range.
3) Put away all air and firearms. Check magazines chambers etc.
4) Now, socialise with all beverages and as much gossip and tall tales.
5) The end- Ever one leaves premises with unloaded fire and air arms, one teetotaler reunites the arms and the man.
Hopefully we shall never hear of incidents and everyone has warm memories of such events.
It is difficult at times but we can't be too careful when arms, men and adult beverages mix.
Believe me when I say that even with such steps in place, you will find some dropping rounds on the floor or even tumbling air rifles out of the cover.
