@ TCda

Wow , four licenses .... Most of us get our rear-end busted trying to get one license ( pardon my French ) . What's your secret ?
I really got to make it to the next IFG Calcutta meet . :D

You really got an outstanding collection . Please do tell us a bit more about your Colt . From the pictures I am guessing cylinder capacity of 8 rounds and a 5 inch barrel . Am I correct ?

From the pictures of the Ruger Mark I , I am think it's a Mark I Target ; the barrel looks a bit thicker / heavier than the Mark I Standard . And a 5.5 inch barrel and 10 round magazine capacity . Again , am I correct ?
FN
The answer to your first question is simple... I never gave up till I had what I wanted. I never do.

You can find details of the Colt in my thread in the album section. Its called 'My Handguns' or something like that. The model is Officers Model Match.
You got the numbers all wrong.. its a six shot with a six inch barrel. The chamber is huge because the model mostly came in 38 special and the same chamber was used for the few 22s that left the factory. Hence its a collector's piece. The revolver was made with extreme precision.

The Ruger Mark 1 target came with a much longer barrel... cant remember the exact length but its around 6.6 and its certainly thicker than the standard model which was popular in the US as just the "Plinker" ... :D
Among all my handguns the Ruger has the longest barrel. See the pics closely and you will notice that its longer than the Colt's

Cheers

Great guns TC. How often do you get to shoot them? Also, do you ever carry them on you?

Hi ngrewal,

I would love to lay my hands on your Buckmark to complete my collection of 22s ... but let me secretly give you an advice NEVER EVER LET IT GO

you will repent even in your afterlife (if there is any such thing)

Thanks my friend

Thanks Buddy.
Well, I have not shot the Colt much... 50 shots at the most. Its such a beauty that you really don't feel like pulling it through smoke and grime ROTFL
The Ruger has seen some action at the club range.
Its the Hi Standard that rides with me whenever I feel the need and carry two clips stacked with hollow points of either CCI and Winchester (copper coated) or Neroxin (lead). I use a Pachmyr slip on rubber grip on the Hi Standard at times though I really think that's overdoing things a bit. I also shoot it more often. The profile it so flat that it literally disappears on my waist or small of the back :D
I have Uncle Mike's shoulder holsters (No 2) and Hogue combat grips for both the Colt and the Ruger though both stay indoors most of the time.

However none of them are as s..y as a certain Mauser HSC a dear friend has just bought

Thanks Ashok,
You are quite right my friend. I have won my war and now long to see other Indians doing it. Its a war zone out there where cops, babus and bureaucrats are training their red tapes and ill conceived intentions at us.

Ah...how did I miss this thread? Must have been asleep!

Totally enjoyed the repartee in the thread. Very nice collection you have there TC, simply beautiful, absolute 'shonar' in Kolkata! :D

Anything shaped like a Luger with that sharply angled grip is my idea of 'porn' too

Enjoy!

Thank you so much Dada :D
Absolutely a "shonar sangshar" if you may say so. And like you, I too love the Luger :D

But I am getting new ones to replace these.... smaller ones to suit my needs :) And one of them could be a tiny Beretta that you enjoyed shooting with XL... Remember ? :)

Noooooooooo! You're going to get rid of the Ruger?
You will regret that decision. :)
