Re: The Glint of the Katar
Even I have bought a katar from patiala in Hola MOhalla I was offered a Katar for 600 bucks along with sheath but it was extremely sharp it found it litle risky and was also offered a nagani blade but when I tried to examine it it seemed to thurst inside my finger luckily got minor cut.I found them more risky than guns. But the tegha was awesome in Hola MOhalla which I have never seen it has three shields attached to handguard and 4 inches broad with alternative handle also.A Nihang was selling it while writing it I still felt the pain of Nagani. Medivel weapons r as good as good as medern weapons. My family always forces me to keep limited money while going for such festivels as they know my weakness for my tradional arms but I did manage to get a good Kirpan.

Prashantji; can you please post some detailed pics of the other two swords. The one with the brass handle and chape seems interesting.

Re: The Glint of the Katar
I somehow knew this would come up!
Prashant, I hope you enjoy the feel and heft of a custom made sword!
Need I say more, and that too publicly, that you have donned the role of local guardian to my son in Dehra Dun. That my friend, is a serious matter. So no amount of gifts to you can satisfy my happiness that I have a friend watching over him. That too a man who loves the outdoors!
