One Freudian slip's a joke; two, an obsession.

But jokes and slips aside, I tried to get in touch with BAWA. lets see what he says.
Apart from him, are there any other solutions to my problem?
Does no one here use 88gm cartridges? Please, tell me where to get them.

g and gram are the same 1 litre of CO2 weighs 2 grams, so 12 grams or 12 g is 6 litres and 88 grams is 44 litres
Amazon seems to have 88 gram canisters for sale

`Amazon seems to have 88 gram canisters for sale` ....
That`s actually Pyramyd Air in the USA.

If no-one imports air rifles that use 88 gm CO2 cannisters then no-one else will import them because they`re not used for anything else.

It seems that you can refill the 88 gm canisters with the appropriate adaptors. Go to :
http://www.airgunbna.com/
Hit `Bulk CO2 Products` from menu at left of page, then scroll to the bottom of the new page.
You`ll need both adaptors. The black adaptor ( which contains a valve ) will have to remain on the 88 gr canister - the brass adaptor is for refilling from a bulk tank.
The only problem is that with the valved adaptor fitted to an 88 gram canister you won`t be able to refit the butt to the rifle because the canister will protrude out of the stock too far.

If you must have a lever action then why not buy a decent, functioning replica - eg, like the Spanish Denix replicas which are made of metal and wood - and get a PROPER air-rifle for shooting ?
The Denix Winchester 1860 and 1866 are the only lever action available in the UK ( because we have strange laws which don`t allow replicas of firearms made after 1870 ) ..... but the 1866 Yellowboy IS nice. C.£160.
The 1873 and 1892 are available elsewhere ( eg, the USA - where they are rather less expensive than in the UK. )

Grumpy, you're the man. thanks so much for all the info.

I had an idea. what if I get that adapter from ebay, weld it shut, and use it as an 88g canister?
think that'll work?

........How can you use an adaptor as a canister ? All that ebay adaptor does is to allow you to connect a 12 gm CO2 bulb to the 88 gr fitting in the rifle. If you weld the adaptor `shut` all you would do is to fill the hole - it isn`t a valve and it isn`t a gas container. You would buy the adaptor, weld up the hole, screw it onto the rifle fitting and you`ld have what ? A lump of metal preventing gas flow from the 12 gm bulb into the rifle.
That is bizarre .................. !

I keep the fire and brimstone private - Mack The Knife and I have the occasional mega insult match via email, lol - and there isn`t much to get worked-up about when discussing how to get gas into a CO2 air rifle anyway ....... Let`s be honest, there`s nothing to get worked-up about with air guns at all.
I`ve been a grandpa for years .... and years.
It`s getting really confusing trying to identify people when they`ve changed their usernames .....

hey,

Can someone please do me a favour?
Please give me the exact dimensions of a standard 88gm CO2 cartridge.
Pictures of a used cartridge would be super helpful. especially of the punctured top.

Grumpy, and other members abroad who have easy access to these, please help me out. I'll be eternally grateful.

Thanks.
